How long can global warming stand up to reality?
The eight year long cooling trend continued during the first half of 2009, even as parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere continued to climb. There is a new sense of urgency on the part of "Cap and Trade" legislation proponents. At some point the public is going to start to believe their own eyes, rather than proclamations from activists. Cap and Trade is set to be a multi-trillion dollar trading extravaganza. The players need to lock this thing in before the public gets wise.
Despite claims that the issue is settled and suggestions that people who don't believe man made CO2 emissions are causing catastrophic global warming are akin to Flat Earth believers, many scientists have expressed that CO2 levels are an almost insignificant factor in climate when compared to things like sunspot activity, seismic activity and other factors currently beyond our control. In addition, man made greenhouse gas emissions are negligible when compared to emissions from nature.
The global warming debate was never about saving the planet. It's always been about cold hard cash. It's a great in for the power brokers to gain control of not only cash flow, but resources; how they're used, if they're used, who can produce them and under what conditions, etc. If you want to participate, you have to play ball.
Proponents of global warming initiatives have shifted their vocabulary a bit. Now it's all about the more vague "climate change" (as if the government can take authority over that). The same folks who issue stimulus checks to dead people want us to give them the power to dictate the use of resources in the name of controlling the weather. Global warming was based on bad science, if you can even call it science. Those with opinions counter to the agenda were ridiculed and ostracized. Now we're being told that global warming is actually being masked by global cooling. How stupid do they think we are? This isn't a mistake, it's a lie. Wake up folks. We've been had once again.
