Neyo.

This years BET Awards is shaping up to be an event worth watching. It has been confirmed that Neyo and Maxwell will take to the stage as performers at this years event.

Neyo, just getting down from his high off of the success of his last album The Year Of The Gentleman, is sure to get the crowd going with a wide array of songs he can perform. And you can just imagine who he will bring up on stage with him. This year the award show will be hosted by the triple threat himself comedian/actor/singer Jamie Foxx. Who knows, Neyo might just bring Jamie on stage with him to belt out the remix to "Ms. Independent".

To add honey to your R&B tea, Maxwell-who has been missing in action for 8 years but made a brief but oh so soulful appearance at last year's BET Awards to belt out a tribute to Al Green-will bless us with his presence at the award show with a confirmed performance. Maxwell is slated to release his album Black (which is apart of a trilogy of albums) that is due in stores July 7, 2009.

Receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at this years event will be R&B's legendary trio, The O'Jays.

This year's BET Awards will take place in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium on June 28, 2009.  As mentioned, Jamie Foxx will be the host for the night so get ready for an evening filled with good laughs and music.
