I saw the movie Yes Man last weekend, and while I wasn’t expecting much I was pleasantly surprised by the simplicity of the message. Rather than spoiling the flick for you, I thought I’d share the message since it fits perfectly in my Baby Step series which suggests the path to enlightenment is paved with baby steps.
We have choices in life:
We can live with passion and be stirred by the awe and wonder that is present all around us. Or, we can miss the miraculous dance with the Universe, and see an ordinary, ho-hum life. Say yes in life and watch miracles emerge.
We can cherish every moment as a gift from God and express gratitude for being and for all that we have. Or we can take life for granted and cripple the chance of achieving our goals. Say yes in life and learn the law of gratitude can manifest dreams.
We can honor the sacredness in life, striving to see the divinity in all, treasuring our connection to spirit. Or, we can identify with having a human experience. Say yes in life and experience the power of the indwelling spirit.
This week, be mindful of those invitations or requests we routinely deny, those calls or conversations we have a tendency of avoiding. Before saying “no” to living, say “yes” and know there is an experience in the situation for you. Expect that something meaningful will develop from your “yes.”
The true power of yes goes beyond being receptive to those invitations in life, though. We all know the power of thoughts; it is no secret that thoughts manifest form, which is the law of attraction. What are you manifesting in your life when you think, ‘No’ ‘I can’t’ or ‘Maybe’?

When something crosses your mind or path and you find delight in it, think ‘yes.’ If an opportunity surfaces in life for love, prosperity, purpose, health, joy, think ‘YES!’ Do not get into old habits and feel unworthy, that you’re not good enough or you do not deserve. Instead shout “YES!”
‘Yes,’ opens the door to opportunities, fuels serendipity and invites miracles into life. Choose to live your life with zeal and be optimistic. Such a simple thing we can do to change our life! This is why I call it a baby step, knowing the path to enlightenment is paved with baby steps!
This week shout “yes” to life and let me know how that works for you!
Namaste!
