I worked in my garden this weekend and was reminded the secret to manifesting our dreams lies in tilling the soil.
With dirt beneath my fingernails, and my thighs aching from squatting, I couldn’t help but notice the similarities between gardening and the law of attraction. The law of attraction suggests that thoughts are all powerful and can manifest form. When we garden, we turn the soil, plant seeds, fertilize, weed, and nurture with sun and water. We trust and believe in the miracle of new growth and celebrate the harvest.
As I covered the onion seeds with soil, I asked myself what lesson was there for me. It is spring, the perfect time to evaluate what’s growing in our lives.
When we assess our lives we must first accept that we have attracted our current experiences and situations. No matter what circumstances are brewing, we should take responsibility for them. After all, it was our thoughts that have manifested where we are today. The exciting thing is we have the ability to attract new and thrilling experiences in our lives.
Spring is a great time to analyze what we want to change in our lives, and take the steps to manifest our dreams:
Step #1: Overturn the Soil
For those who desire new growth in you life, take the first step and overturn your soil. In the area that currently does not serve you, is it possible that your view of reality may exclude God as being your supply? Are you limiting yourselves by conventional experiences? Are you sabotaging yourself by expecting what’s typical in a situation? Who or what do you consider your source? Is it your employer? Your business? Your inheritance … or is it God?
In an area that you would like change, first overturn the soil by trusting that Spirit is your unlimited source and you live in a world of infinite possibilities, and choose the extraordinary not the ordinary.
Step #2: Plant the Seed
Develop a clear vision of what you would like to change in your life. Do not limit or define this dream with specifics. Know that God is your supply and available to you always. Plant your seed with vision, believing and trusting that it has already happened. Know that whatever you believe in, you can create.
Step #3: Fertilize the soil
Support your vision with tools to keep your thoughts aligned with your dream. Use tools like affirmations or create a vision board to fertilize the soil.
Step #4: Weed your Garden
We’re spiritual beings having a human experience. Because of this we will occasionally experience thoughts that don’t serve our vision. When this happens weed your garden! Remind yourself that you’re a unique expression of God and choose only thoughts that serve your vision. Bless what’s not serving you and send those thoughts on their way. Find strength by stating your affirmation or looking at your vision board.
Step #5 Nourish the Earth
As water and sun nourish the earth sprouting a seedling, affirmative prayer will trigger the manifestation process.
Step #6: Harvesting the Fruit
Like the farmer who celebrates harvesting his or her crop, we celebrate the miracles that manifests in our lives. When these blessings occur, don’t claim how powerful you are. Express great joy and claim the power of Spirit. Acknowledge that Spirit has worked through the power of mind to manifest form.
I will watch my garden differently this summer. As it grows, I will pay attention to the area of my life I have chosen to work on. When I see a looming storm, I will protect my seedlings and defend my vision from negative thoughts. When the soil is dry I’ll fetch my hose to feed my garden, and turn inward to nourish my soul. When I pick my first tomato I’ll celebrate the fruit, and honor Spirit for manifesting my dream.
Remember, the secret to manifesting form is overturning the soil and recognizing that Spirit is your continuous and limitless source.
Good farming.
