Socks, the Clintons' pet cat who died in February at the age of 20 from throat cancer, will continue to live on at the Governor's Mansion in Arkansas. Sort of.

In a simple, private ceremony this past March, some of Socks' ashes were sprinkled in the west flower garden of the mansion.

"When (the Clintons) lived at the mansion that's where Socks hung out, on the back porch there," USA Today reports mansion administrator Ron Maxwell as saying.

In attendance was the First Lady of Arkansas, Ginger Beebe, who read a poem she wrote about the black and white cat, and Linda Dixon of the Clinton Presidential Library.

An urn containing Socks' cremated remains (cremains) are on display at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock.
