Those lips! Those eyes! That 3-inch underbite!

On Friday in Petaluma, California, a boxer mix named Pabst won the title of World's Ugliest Dog. He beat out the favorite, a Chinese crested dog named Rascal who won the title in 2002.

The hairless Chinese crested breed has won each year for the past seven years, but that winning streak was brought to an end by Pabst, a boxer mix with a hideously comical mug.

"I don't think he's that ugly!" protested Pabst's shocked owner, Miles Egstad from Citrus Heights, California. This was Pabst's first year entering the contest. He was rescued four years ago as a puppy.

Rascal, a contender.

Will Pabst, like Rascal, parlay his win into a career in entertainment? (After winning the ugly dog contest in 2002, Baltimore Sun's Unleashed blog reports that Rascal appeared in several horror movies, and on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The View.")

It may be a bit early to predict, but we think Pabst has definitely got star potential. Plus, we hear that despite his intimidating appearance Pabst is a real sweetie who enjoys taking naps and laying in the sun.
