Halloween's the perfect time for a special tribute to 'The Twilight Zone'

If you're a fan of the original "The Twilight Zone" series and live in the Los Angeles area, you'll be interested in this.

To celebrate the series 50th anniversary (has it really been that long?), Grauman's Hollywood Egyptian Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd., in Hollywood, CA., which itself is celebrating an anniversary of its own -- its 87th -- will host a special Halloween Eve program at 8 p.m. Friday night to honor "The Twilight Zone." The event will be hosted by Marc Scott Zicree, author of the essential "The Twilight Zone Companion".

Episodes from the series will be shown and several writers, directors and series stars will appear. The tentative list includes Carol Serling (schedule permitting), Richard Matheson, Earl Hamner Jr., George Clayton Johnson, H.M. Wynant , Robert Butler, Arlene Martel ("Twenty Two", "What You Need") and others to be announced.
