Join M and Ocean Drive Magazine in Mid-Town Miami at the Ocean Drive Studios at the highly anticipated return of 'Paint the Town Green' event which will bring to life one of the most iconic "green" destinations in - Hollywood history: THE EMERALD CITY. Sanctioned by Art Basel, & partnered with Warner Brothers, join us for the 70th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz, and with a thrilling live performance courtesy of VH1 SAVE THE MUSIC FOUNDATION. Ocean Drive promises an exciting evening of earthy elements and eco-friendly surprises including the M Lounge with auction proceeds to benefit the VH1 SAVE THE MUSIC FOUNDATION!

Ocean Drive magazine debuts Paint The Town Green, presented by Four Seasons Ocean Residences and hosted by the Biltmore on Friday, December 7, 2007. With the support of Art Basel Miami Beach Ocean Drive magazine, South Florida’s preeminent luxury lifestyle publication, creatively embraces eco-awareness with a “green goes glam” evening for Basel’s upscale patrons. Through the sounds of music, and artistic expression of fashion and photography, Ocean Drive magazine shows Green is Glamorous.

With the majestic Biltmore serving as the perfect canvas, Ocean Drive magazine will ‘paint’ the marquee hotel with exquisite lighting and organic décor, creating an original eco-atmosphere that is unique to Miami’s social scene. Guests will be treated to the soulful sounds and powerful lyrics of Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/pianist Vanessa Carlton who will headline the evening with a live musical performance. Carlton will be joined by celebrated new designer Linda Loudermilk, named one of W magazine’s “most influential people of 2007” who will showcase her eco-fashion runway collection featuring models from MC2. Throughout the evening, the spinning sensations of an MTV switch house DJ will keep the mood light and the energy high as Stoli Elit cocktails and the Biltmore hotel’s savory fare satiate partygoers. Adding an element of art is Brooklyn and L.A. based artist/photographer Erik Anders Lang, whose environmentally inspired photographs will provide a sentimental backdrop against the lush, living party décor styled by Miami-based landscape designer, Plantaysia.

The centerpiece of Paint the Town Green will feature an aptly adapted “Giving Tree.” Reminiscent of Shel Silverstein’s children’s classic, Ocean Drive adorns a classic Banyan tree on the Biltmore hotel property with the limited edition event gift bags. Custom designed by Diane von Furstenberg through Intermix stores, this sought-after, one-of-a-kind gift bag includes two custom T-shirt collaborations from Green T Clothing Company with designer Catherine Malandrino and artist Kenny Scharf, organic products from Crabtree & Evelyn, Liz Earle, Enspri, Sweet Beauty, Theory, The Sports Club L.A., Snaidero, Green Grass Boutique and more! Guests can purchase this tote of eco-essentials during the event for a $100 donation to the Environmental Media Association.
