Seoul, South Korea – Cha Sa-soon, a 68-year-old woman in South Korea proved persistence pays off after trying since April, 2005 and 950 times to pass the written exam for a driver’s license.
A police official at the drivers’ license agency in Jeonju, Korea (130 miles south of Seoul) said Cha finally passed the written exam on her 950 try with a score of 60 out of a possible 100 points, Wednesday last week.
It cost Cha more than $4,000 in application fees to pass the written part of the exam.
Once Cha passes the driving portion her test, she said the license will be used to drive for her vegetable-selling business.
