Warren Buffett's biographer admits that her relationship with the Berkshire Hathaway chief has been "strained" since last year's publication of "The Snowball."
Buffett biographer Alice Schroeder made the comments during an interview with the Telegraph newspaper in the United Kingdom. The interview coincides with the re-release of "The Snowball." The book's latest version includes details from the recent financial crisis.
Schroeder said she expected Buffett's lukewarm reaction to the book, which includes some less-than-flattering details about Buffett's personal life. She said all writers expect that, calling the interview process the "honeymoon" and publication the "divorce."
Schroeder said all people have a certain concept of themselves, and when the written version differs from that internal impression it creates displeasure.
Schroeder also said she genuinely likes Buffett. She said his success is due to his incredible focus and passion for learning. Here is video of Schroeder's interview:
