Update: It's now being said that stats and weapons are returning for players. If you lost your weapons and stats earlier in the day, they should be back now upon starting the game up.
Original: If there is one thing you don't want to lose in a game like Call of Duty or Battlefield, it's your weapons and hard-earned collection of statistics. Unfortunately, that seems to have happened to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players. It's being reported that players of the game are finding they have no weapons, stats, or awards in the game anymore.
A huge thread has appeared on the EA forums over this topic and it appears to be quite widespread. At this time, EA hasn't issued a formal announcement on the problem, so the severity of it isn't known nor is it known if it'll be a simple fix if it was performed by a glitch in the system. Hopefully EA will have an answer come tomorrow and bring peace to everyone affected.

That is the tip of the iceberg of problems for BF:BC2. There are still glitches galore in the game which make it annoying to play. It seems all support has been dropped in favour on focusing on BF3 and Vietnam. I won't be supporting their next game, that's for sure.

Yup, I was affected (effected?) by this. Hopped onto BC2 and don't have any stats or weapons, and I'm level 1 again. So I started up Bioshock on Survivor with no Vita Chambers XD I'll get back onto BC2 and see if my stats are back. Hopefully they will be :P

this happens frequently, not news. I remember within three weeks after release, this happened to me. It took them like more than a few months to set up the Soldier stats on the BFBC2 site.
It happened to me just yesterday! Today morning everything was fine...

whoever writes these articles clearly isnt a gamer and doesnt play bf2 cos this happens frequently and is usually sorted out in an hour or two. whoever writes for this site shud not hav this job unless they actually play games and have knowledge of what theyr talking about

I've lost all my stats and weapons twice now! It's pretty annoying. Come on ea! I love this game but you're not gonna win over loyal cod players with this sort of thing happening.

Stats and weapons and gizmo's show up in the main page, but when it comes to game time your shot back to square one. cheap Russian fictitious rifles and iron sights all the way.

i was level 22, i finally finished all kits (except medic) and i get off the game for a few hours to play AvP, then when i get back on battlefield...EVERYTHING WAS LOST!!!! All my stats and weapons are gone, and when I play matches the points don't even add up in the class slots, neither does the rank points. Everything just stays at zero, I suppose that's a relief as it looks as if I wasn't randomly busted down to private 0 and have to start over. Got BF a few weeks ago, is this common?

Yup, happened to me today. All weapons and stats are gone... but for some reason I still have dog tags and the "Weapons and Gadgets" screen still shows all of my unlocks, but with no kills listed for any of them. Oh well... hope it comes back.

cubankid11 - i have all my earned pins, dog tags, and ensignias and it says i have all my wepons but upon playing i have nothing my rank deminished to rank 1 and no wepons this isnt cool it rlly suqs cuz ive done alot to earn everything i had recieved and my goal was to finish all the pins and esignias i finished the pins but now i dnt wnt to strt over from fresh how do u fix it >.<
