Alien Abductions
UFOs and alien abductions were recently featured in a primetime ABC News special titled "Alien Abduction: An Exploration of the Human Mind." Part one of this ABC documentary, titled "Abduction by Aliens: Meet the Believers," is available at this link.
Though this video documentary does question the reality of both UFOs and alien abductions, the numerous cases of normal, respected individuals featured are quite persuasive. For the first time ever by any major media source, ABC News has presented alien abduction from UFOs as a phenomenon worthy of public discussion.
For decades the mass media largely either ignored or ridiculed any person or group who believed in UFOs. And those who claimed to have been abducted by aliens were treated as nothing less than nutcases. The few solid reports raising real questions on UFOs were often buried in obscure pages of the newspaper.
As just one glaring example among many, on Feb. 28, 1960, former CIA chief Roscoe Hillenkoetter publicly stated, "Behind the scenes, high-ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense." This astonishing news from one of the most powerful men in government was reported in the New York Times, yet the article was buried on page L30 of the Sunday paper. As recently as May 9, 2001 at the prestigious National Press Club in Washington, D.C., 22 highly respected government and military witnesses testified on their personal involvement in a major UFO cover-up to a large hall filled with major media reporters. Yet the media reports of this landmark event, sponsored by the Disclosure Project, mostly laughed it off or failed to cover it at all. Yet in the last few years, the media has gradually been changing its tune. CNN's Larry King began a series of shows asking hard questions on the UFO subject in late 2007. King's guests, who had remarkable experiences with UFOs, included a former astronaut, a former state governor, and key military officers who stood nothing to gain from testifying.
On May 14th this year, the New York Times published its first-ever article supportive of the UFO movement, which you can read about at this link. Then just last month, Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, was quoted by ABC stating "the UFO phenomenon is real." And now ABC Primetime has aired this amazingly balanced video on alien abductions and UFOs. Thanks to the untiring efforts of numerous pioneers in the UFO movement, the major media appear to finally be engaging in serious discussion of the topic of UFOs and alien abduction.
There are many courageous individuals who have made powerful contributions which helped to bring this about. Dr. John Mack risked his career as a respected Harvard professor and a Pulitzer-prize winning writer when he published serious studies and several books on the alien abduction phenomenon. His documentary on the topic, Touched, is a classic.
Dr. Steven M. Greer gave up a lucrative career as the medical director of an emergency room at a large hospital to focus on bringing the UFO issue into public light. His successful Disclosure Project turned me and many thousands of others from skeptics to believers in 2001 with his National Press Club event. Many other dedicated individuals have sacrificed career and reputation to bring legitimacy to this important field.
The majority of these researchers believe the aliens overall are benign to friendly. Testimony by several government witnesses has described UFO craft disabling nuclear warheads in an apparent message of the danger of these weapons to the future of our planet. Following a prime directive not unlike that of Star Trek, the aliens may be waiting for us to stop our warring ways before the make their existence fully known.

Wonderful news and article Fred! It's about time this was treated with some sensitivity. And the implications of such a show are exciting!
Good article Fred. To me the disclosure project is the smoking gun. If you read this article, be sure to visit their site. They have a wonderful automated tool that lets you fax congress and the president concerning disclosure. Why not! France, Russia and several other countries are onboard. Also I believe human kind is ready for the truth.
Of course this just means to me that the agenda is pushing forward. Sheeppel take heed! What can I say. We have been told about this time. I first heard about it from William Cooper. Another person who predicted this type of scenario Was Dr. Carol Rosin from the famous Disclosure Project Press Club of America in 2001.

As far as people being ready for the news goes, that is a crock. People have always had the capacity to take the truth. The truth has been taken away from us by a patriarchy, after they kill all the matriarchs! This is news! No... Not to those who open their eyes...
As usual, this 'documentary' is nothing else than the usual biased exo-ufoistic soap opera: Overwhelming loads of claims, but not one single tangible proof. And scientists, who are used to deal with hypotheses, scientific methodology and proofs were not even invited to take a skeptical position or to outline the logical fallacies. Since the exo-ufoistic crazyness has reached an extent, it can catch up easily with cults like Scientology, its absolutly no coincidence, ads of this organisations appear regularly on these sites.
Perhaps I shall be the first to comment on a personal experience with UFOS and ET. I have had many. Yes, I do believe they exist,however,for those of you who dont already know, "they" dont require any sort of belief or dogma. These things have been around for a very long time. They are written about throughout history. I have had the "abduction" experience,and we all know its never just once. I have had them fly directly over my home,and have seen them,and yes, I have the scars to prove it. I have been studying ufology in great detail for the past 17 years,and have learned much,but many questions remain unanswered.I have talked with some of the greatest pioneers in the abduction field,and even though they disagree about the nature and origin of these ufos and ETs, they do agree that it is ongoing. For those of you who are experiencing this sort of thing,my advice is do not let the "fear factor" dominate you. You are much stronger than you realize. bluperu
Outstanding documentation, Fred. I'd like to respond to Shol'va. As a teacher of history, government, and economics, I have academic training and professional experience in evaluating evidence for likely factual accuracy. There is documented physical evidence in crop circles that nobody has been able to replicate: measurable electromagnetic fields, extended grain nodes from apparent exposure to a brief high-heat source while not killing the plants, and a 90 degree bend without breaking the grain. Megalithic architecture has remains in Baalbek of carved and transported stones weighing 2,000 tons! This was done with technology BEYOND our current abilities. There's more, of course.
The testimony from reliable professional sources is called "expert testimony." When you have hundreds of these sources, documented by the Disclosure Project, the rational response is to do exactly what they ask: open hearings for their information to be fully investigated and disclosed to the public.

You come forward with the well known exo-ufoistic I-know-the-truth-but-I-don't-share-it-with-others claim. Provided, these claims were true, all these self-proclaimed contactees would supress valuable information from humanity - as if Newton, Maxwell or Einstein kept their knowledge secret and left behind humanity in ignorance and physical dark ages. So these claims are rather pretenses for the fact, all theese 'enlighted' people are plagued themselves by doubts, their 'contact' might the result of a misperception or misidentification. This assumption is backed up by the fact, no tangible proof about ET-visitation on earth or elsewhere in our solar system is publicly available. If (and I stress this word) visitations took place, simple logic tell us, in our current stage of evolution much more advanced species would never enter with us into an open relationship; like we do not negociate with cows or monkeys. I respectufully disagree. I'm a graduated electrical engineer. I'm simply surprised, how fast people with a scientific education jump on quick conclusion, whenever extraordinary claims are involved. As I would never dare to perform a medical diagnosis, historians and economical scientists have clearly not the background to even judge, what is told in the field of engineering. E.g. crop-circle making has evolved to a art, while sophisticated equipment, like DGPS, microwave crop-benders and other things are involved. So I'd get my information from the people who make these things [www.circlemakers.org]. 'EM-radiation from crop circles' is just another fairy tale, that results from self-proclaimed cropcircle-scientists, who have no idea how to operate a RF-spectrum analyzer. So they pick up environmental RF. Exo-archeology is simply a matter of 100% speculation and is an insult against real archeologist, who figure out meticulously ancient engineering-techniques.
I have had two separate encounters with UFOs, that I cannot dismiss as an overactive imagination. The first in 1975, while driving home to So. CA. from Reno, NV. with my parents. We all saw it fly over our car and reflect a singular, red light across the hood, as flew off toward the surrounding hills.
Then again at roughly 2:00am on April 20th of 1979, my ex husband and I arrived at a relatives beach house at Pismo Beach on vacation. I happened to look up at the sky while unloading our bags and saw above me, a dark mass in an elongated triangular shape. There were round, white lights in each corner. I called to my ex, who was at the front door, and said "what is that?". He said, "a chopper?". That was no helicopter, it made no sound whatsoever and it was huge. As I quickly made my way up the steps to the house, that thing stayed right above me until I finally got inside...in the blink of an eye, it was gone.
By nature, I am a skeptic but I know what I saw...something is up there.

This tv show clearly denied the subject. At the end of the show everything is clear and explainable. "People do not be scared, it is alright, we (psychologists and sceptics) control the situation and we know how to deal with it. There is a reason for it, you just watch too many movies..." We do not need one more poor tv show like this!
Shol'va what the hell are you doing here? You don't believe in UFOs, ET etc! If I did not believe in something I wouldn't bother to read about it or even post a comment. You have nothing better to do than criticize believers? A typical debunker tactic. I would guess you nothing but a sad sack of a debunker. Government worker? Maybe if you got off you're fat rear end...... and actually got outside to do some sky watching of your own, you might see something! It might open up your closed minded! I just listened to a really interesting audio book on this topic. I liked it so much I ordered the book form so I could browse over it and think about some of the things it talked about. The book is called Alien Intrusion by Gary Bates and there is a website at: www.alienintrustion.com

p.s. I have never had any kind of alien "experience", but both of my parents saw UFOs in their younger days. They would now both agree with the conclusion of this book I mentioned. (I asked them about their experiences after I had listened to the book.)
