Here is the latest Brittany Murphy update. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, there is an investigation into the death of Brittany Murphy. Reports state that she possibly had diabetes, while speculation and rumor has circled the actress for years stating that she had a drug addiction and suffered from eating disorders. Though her death has been attributed to cardiac arrest, the cause of the attack has not yet been identified. As the cause of her death is under investigation, an autopsy will be performed.
Recent reports by TMZ state that Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, stated that he does not want an autopsy performed. The report alleges that Simon Monjack made the comment to staff members at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center when Brittany was taken to the hospital. She was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Though first response to a comment alleged by Simon Monjack might indicate foul play, it is important to realize that in the time of grief, an autopsy can be viewed as the ultimate abuse of a loved one. It is too early in the investigation for speculation to focus on Brittany Murphy’s husband and to suggest that foul play was involved, as is being alleged on social networking sites such as Twitter.
The death of Brittany Murphy has come as a sudden shock and surprise to the nation and Brittany’s fans worldwide. Spokesperson for Brittany Murphy released a statement that reads, “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy."

Maybe her husband doesn't want an autopsy performed because he knows of her drug use, so he's trying to spare her reputation.

Perhaps the hubb doesnt want the drug connection as it will create that dark cloud that will forever loom and take away from what everyone wants to remember. Let the girl rest in peace. She is gone, why does everyone have to wonder what she died of? We are all going to die, she should be remembered of the the good things she has done.
