“All of a sudden there was a lighthouse in the middle of the forest”, explained Vancouver Island Holistic Healer Haiah Kingsbury during a one-hour interview featured in a new episode of The Secret Message Report – Podcast Edition. Ms. Kingsbury was discussing her extensive catalogue of Orb photography when she volunteered details of a childhood UFO incident that took place while growing up in Beaurepaire, Quebec. The wide-ranging interview covered a variety of related topics including near-death experiences, out-of-body travels and visits to the ECETI UFO ranch along with an “initiation” into Aboriginal culture during her time spent working in Australia. The Secret Message Report – Podcast Edition is the paranormal talk radio podcast from former CBS Radio feature producer, Jon Kelly that focuses on consciousness studies, communications research and cultural evolution.
HaiahsHealing.ca uses a Pay It Forward approach to providing online information access for web audiences exploring issues related to natural healing. Following the principle that “Knowledge empowers one to make informative and wise choices”, the site features information on topics ranging from Herbs, Naturopathy, Acupressure, Sound Therapy and Water Therapy to Reiki, Reflexology, Qi Gong, Chinese Medicine and Massage. The site explains how, “Today, with the great changes taking place on our planet, we are going back to our roots and realizing that, once again, healing is the medium between the spiritual and physical body. So part of this “hands-on” therapy is the chance to bring problems to the forefront and acknowledge that they need dealing with.”
Forbidden Knowledge
During the interview, Haiah Kingsbury told the Secret Message Report audience the story of a mysterious childhood encounter that led to a personal healing for her. “As a child I’ve always believed that something was protecting me. I don’t know why. I was never a frightened child but I was always the type of child that always felt very confident in [herself] because I knew something was protecting me.”
Regarding the cultural climate in the community where she grew up, Ms. Kingsbury reflected that, “The first 12 years in my life, it was in a farming community. Mostly large families, hard-working. There wasn’t really much of an outlet [to discuss mystical experiences], no. And I had a tendency to be a loner as a child. I would share maybe with one or two of my friends, but no, it just wasn’t. A few adults I would make a comment to, but they always said, “Well, let’s keep it to ourselves.” I really never talked a lot about it. I think it was kind of a taboo subject [while]growing up.”

A Childhood Mystery
“As a child I used to suffer very greatly [with] earaches,” Ms. Kingsbury explained. “Never had infections, but I lived with excruciating pain up until I was about 6 years old. I was asleep, when we lived in the country, when I was very young. One night, it was probably in September, school had just started. I had been put to bed and I was always a night-owl as a young child. Something caught my attention, a shadow off the window of my bedroom, which was on the top floor. I noticed what I thought was a little child like myself. Being the type of person I am, very protective over animals and other people, always bringing back strays (it’s just who I am), I saw this child and I climbed out of my window.
“There was this huge, great big maple tree beside my window and I climbed down. I don’t know, it was late at night. The moon was out and I could see this child. I kept on saying, “No, don’t go. Don’t go”. I was so concerned this child was going to get lost, I started following it. It went into the field not far from where our house was and into the forest. I kept on following this child, calling out, “Don’t go, you’re going to get lost. What happens are your parents, are [they] going to worry about you.”
“I continued following this child and then I kind of did a dead stop because, all of a sudden, there was a lighthouse in the middle of the forest. I’m thinking “Oh my God.” I walked into the front, because I saw the child walk in, so I thought, “Oh my God, it’s going to be hurt.” I walked in and next thing I know, I turned around and all there was was metallic and light and I can’t remember anything after that.
“When I woke up in the morning, [the person who was] taking care of me, Anna Louise, she woke up. She said, “You’ve got to get up for school,” and I started telling her about what I thought at the time was a dream. You know how most people, when they want the kid to get up they’ll take the sheets and pull it off, [saying] “Let’s get going, we’re going to be late.”
"That’s what she did. And my feet, all the way up from my feet to my knees, I had leaves in my bed and dirt. I kind of looked down and Anna looked down and we both looked at each other. She said, “Let’s keep this between the two of us.” After that, my earaches disappeared out of the blue. I never had an earache ever since."

All About Orbs
Inspired by the photography of Miceal Ledwith, Ms. Kingsbury has recorded 1000’s of Orb images of her own. Orbs are usually circular artifacts captured in photographs that psychically sensitive people interpret as evidence of spirit phenomena. Orbs can vary in color, luminosity, visual density and shape. High-resolution images of Orbs can reveal intricate patterns within the objects including profound renderings of faces and other iconic forms. She remarked how, “They’re intelligent, they’re entities of some type. They’re not all the same type of entity. Some have been here for eons. This is the feeling I get … I sense they’re coming through dimensions.”
For beginners who are new to Orb photography and would like to try imaging these phenomena for themselves, Ms. Kingsbury recommends an inexpensive low-lux camera with a built-in flash. Videomaker.com explains how, “[L]ux is the metric unit for measuring the amount of light that falls on an object, and is the European equivalent of the British foot-candle (or lumen). Specifically, 1 lux equals the amount of light that falls on a one-square-meter surface that is one meter away from a single candle. 10 lux equals the amount of light produced by 10 candles one meter away. A camera with a 1-lux rating claims to be able to produce an image by the light of one candle that is about three feet away from the subject.” Other factors to consider for still photography include the physical size of the camera’s sensor, the pixel density (number of pixels) on the sensor and the maximum aperture of the camera’s lens system.
Setting aside a regular time along with a commitment to repeat sessions is also important in the development of Orb photography. Haiah Kingsbury recommends that beginners “Start off with an hour, each day, at a specific time and just keep on taking pictures.“ In light of claims from skeptics, she believes that Orbs can be tracked from image to image, moving through the frames in ways that demonstrate how they are more than just dust, raindrops, snowflakes or other conventional phenomena.
