Two horses found mutilated August 11, 2010, by their ranch owners in Rush, Colorado, were investigated by Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Field Investigator Chuck Zukowski.
Two other ranch animals who apparently survived the attacks - a dog and another horse - were found with "unknown marks." A high "electro-magnetic field reading" was measured on the dog. The rancher's wife reports unusual sounds two days prior to the discovered mutilations.
The ranch, named Utopia, is owned by Mike and Glenda Schneider.
Rush is situated along Highway 94 in unincorporated El Paso County, two miles west of El Paso, and about one hour east of Colorado Springs.
Zukowski produced a video about the events and his investigation there - including an interview with the rancher's wife. Excellent coverage - which he says is an on-going investigation as there are still many unanswered questions.

If it's government doing these mutilations, be it military or military sponsored corporations, you have a rogue element in our government that is doing this, and it must be rogue or we would know what it was, that just speaks for the disgusting arrogance and downright evil that is rampant in our governing system that does not even attempt to explain it's activities or compensate parties involved.
On the other hand if it is something so called other-worldly be it nonphysical, spiritual, extra terrestrial what have you, the lack of evidence and motive is more understandable but based on the helicopters being viewed I dont know...
It just makes me angry to think human beings could be behind this and makes me sad that the governments of the world all want to be as powerful as the US government while they are just plain out of control...
This has been going on for decades. It is not human. The same body parts are being harvested over and over--cheeks, genitals, etc. It makes no sense to the human mind, but to the alien . . .? It does not stop with horses or cattle; there have been mutilations of cats (Aurora, CO) and humans (see internet for "Brazil UFO human mutilation") for details. The alien presence is real, has been here possibly forever, and will not make sense to the human mind. The one thing you can bank on, though, is that some aliens (maybe not all) are not benevolent.
Government maby, But nothing is simple in this ufo business. Some of these mutilations predate world war 2. What possible reason would the government have had for a disinformation ploy in that time frame ? No I firmly believe its extraterrestrials and there is at least one rancher witness to this that I know of in the literature. He reported two green skinned beings carrying a calf of his into a flying saucer type craft. He later found the part animals remains upon returning to the site after overcoming his fright. RFC
This is the government IMHO and they are doing research on prions. They do not tell the public because of the panic it would cause if people suddenly realized that mad cow disease runs amuck and there's no cure. A new born cow can be infected with prions but not show any symptoms for five years. That is why cattle are killed really early now before they begin showing signs of infection. That doesn't mean that they're NOT infectious, just that they're not showing at the moment. You're eating it. I'm eating it. Hope you have enough copper to negate the prions.
It's not the government, though the government is well aware of it and apparently involved in a few cases. I say this with real certainty because my grandfather was abducted nightly, yes nightly, for at least 10, probably more than 20 years. That's a 100% fact. I've never been abducted, but caught on to what was being done to my grandfather in 1959 and observed repeated attempts of these grays to approach for 3 weeks until I gave up and went home. They are very physical, but interdimensional, they phase in through an energy field and gradually take form and weight. Entry seems to take a few seconds, exit is almost instantaneous.
