IL - Flash of Light; 3:30 p.m.
"She saw a large bright flash of light above the low, clouds in the distance," the witness stated. "She told me that it was about the size of a penny. So I looked and there was nothing until a small, whitish-blue light appeared. This light was about the size of a bright planet. It disappeared and reappeared several times within the same small area of the sky, but in random places. It appeared to be staying close to the thin, dark edge of the cloud moving just below it. There were no clouds covering it. All of this took place during ten minutes." Case 33261.

AK - Teardrop; 1:15 to 1:30 p.m.
"Coming down the hill on Boniface, an object appeared from the west about a quarter mile in front of us about 50 feet above the trees," the witness stated. "As it was traveling forward it descended to just above the trees and turned sharply to its left (north). Now it was traveling the same direction as us along the Boniface Road and it started to ascend to a couple thousand feet. The object flew right past the Air Force base and just kept traveling north. This was not military to my belief. It was large, teardrop-shaped, dark steel in color, and the surface appeared to be reflective, extremely fast, and silent. We witnessed this object for only about 15 seconds. It was very, very fast. There were other cars on the road. I'm sure other people seen it. About two minutes after I witnessed it, lots of military aircraft started flying around looking for it." Case 33253.
CA - Beam of Light, white; 6 p.m.
"I see this beam of white light - ascending upward at an angle with a blue center," the witness stated. "And it shot across the sky/horizon in a flash towards the Pacific. I never seen an object move that fast and no visual after that." Case 33260.
CA - 10:20 p.m., Irvine Spectrum Shopping Center.
"Noticed a brighter than normal star, orange, and looked like it was melting," the witness stated. "The location of it was about about one mile northeast of my location. At first I thought maybe someone lit one of those heated ceremony bags and caught on fire, but after a closer look, the object stayed hovering and changing different colors. I would say it was hovering close to the old Marine base near Irvine or Lake Forest." Case 33254.
FL - Fireball, orange.
"At my first glimpse I thought it was the streetlight because of the amber-orange color, but then I quickly realized it was on fire and it was traveling above the streetlights," the witness stated. "My brother kept saying it's on fire! It's on fire! I distinctly saw a fire sphere with no sound, no change of direction, no change of altitude, no tail. We watched it light up its surounding area as it traveled south until out of sight. We heard an aircraft to the west and slightly north of the sphere. The airplane had only strobe white lights. The sphere traveled under the cloud deck, whereas the airplane was in the clouds. Two minutes later, another airplane with strobe white lights, and normal red and green avaition lights, were visable and even a higher altitude than the first airplane further into the cloud deck. I point this out because the first plane did not have red or green lights. I know what I saw over the treetops.It was a fireball of orange and red flames; a perfect circle traveling on its own power for the 10 to 20 seconds." Case 33255.
OK - Boomerang.
"The four objects were flying in a formation," the witness stated. "They were not glowing. They were a dull white/light gray color. Non-reflective. Boomerrang shaped. Maybe about 25 to 30-feet from wing tip to wing tip. Once they flew over, it appeared that they were between 800 to 1000-feet MSL. They flew in a straight-line pattern. They were traveling in a SSW direction and traveling nearly 150-mph as they flew over me. As soon as they passed over it didn't take long for me to lose sight of them." Case 33251.

CA - Triangle.
"I looked up for the moon and made sure all the stars were in their places and immediately saw three points of light, forming a triangle, not at home," the witness stated. "It was northeast and slightly above a 45-degree angle from the horizon, apex pointing northward, toward Pleasanton/Livermoore. The triangle took up about one-tenth of the northeastern quadrant. If it was a single entity, it was huge. But it did appear to be simply three points of light. I don't look up with intent to spot a UFO. It's simply a habit of appreciating the stars and moon on clear nights. So I'm quite familiar with them. This trio was a huge red flag. I have purposely tried to spot them again, scanning the area two to three times a night since then, and nothing even comes close to resembling them." Case 33263.
PA - Orb.
"Noticed orb in the sky almost immediately after I sat down," the witness stated. "Called my wife outside, but she was uninterested. I was excited because I was sure it wasn't a plane or helicopter. Took four 30-second to one-minute vids on my cell phone as it quickly became dark outside. Partly cloudy day with no wind, so the clouds were stationary. Watched 'orb' move very slowly in the sky and at times it was stationary [parked behind cloud]. Eventually it moved below the horizon." Case 33262.

Encounters
