A Pennsylvania witness traveling along northbound Route 309 near Wilkes-Barre on Sunday morning, September 5, 2010, watched a box-shaped UFO about 10 to 15 feet in length hovering in the sky about 1 or 2 miles away, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
"The craft was box shape and was rectangular on the side and square on the front," the witness stated. "The craft was basically black with white edges."
The witness stated that the object had two white lights, but no wings. The craft was lost from sight when the witness turned off of the highway.
The UFO Examiner recently covered a nearby UFO sighting that occurred on August 30, about 13 miles northeast from this sighting in Duryea, PA, in Second sighting of Duryea, PA, green light fills car interior.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man made. If Pennsylvania MUFON State Director John Ventre investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
PA, September 5, 2010 - Flying Box hovering. MUFON Case # 25311.
I had just taken my daughter to work on Sunday morning and was returning home. I was traveling down Route 309 towards Wilkes-Barre (northbound) and noticed the sky was clear and blue. As I began to approach my exit, I saw what I thought was a plane flying over the area. I was on a path where planes from our local airport would pass.
AS I got closer, I thought maybe it was a blimp. But as I got even closer it looked block like. It was just sitting there. I think the craft was small no more than 10-15 in length. the craft was box shape and was rectangular on the side and square on the front. The craft was basically black with white edges. I believe I was about a mile or two away.
There were not too many people in the highway and I came up to a red light. I turned onto the exit and noticed my view changed. I was looking into the craft and saw two white lights. (it reminded me of landing lights on a plane.) the craft did not have wings, and it wasn’t a helicopter.
I lost sight of the craft when I turned off the highway. I did look for a safe place to pull over to take a picture but I was not able to do so.
I am a frequent satellite watcher. I have seen several UFOs in the past.

My wife and I (thank God for her, I would think I was nutz without being able to ask her "you see that too, right"?) saw something similar in the skies over Bethlehem PA back in May. These however were white with black trim. There were four of them, they were traveling narrow ends first, three were "in the lead" if you will as we watched the fourth one catch up. They were traveling from west to east. It was a Sunday morning around 10am or so. Funny, I don't remember the date. Anyway besides the qty and inverted color these sound very similar to what the gentleman from WB saw.
Am kind of a non-believer but I could probally be changed.
Mr Solt:
I'm an Engineer, my wife is a nurse. We were both a bit of a degree higher skeptics until 1988. Since that time we have had (4) seperate sightings of things in the sky that we could not identify. We know what we saw. We do not claim that anything we saw was extra-terrestrial or try to make it more than what it was. My point here is that no one can "change you" but you. Start spending some time outside where you have a clear view of the night sky. You'll see something soon enough. One of the usual posters here who goes by "CH" said it best: "If you're not seeing things you can't explain in the sky you're not looking up".
Peace
I have sighted ufo's several times also with my husband also whilst sitting outside watching the stars. Your right it doesn't take long to sight these things but I think a large part of it depends on what area you live in to and what type of activity happens there. I am a telepathic so I have seen and heard many strange things involving ETs. Im wondering if anyone out there has ever seen a craft that looks like a rectangular helicopter but has no main propella's.
Got something to say?
