A Pennsylvania witness alerted by a friend to an odd green flash of light in Duryea, PA, returned to the area August 30, 2010, and experienced a green light from above that lit up her car's interior, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The friend explained that a few days earlier, she had been driving along Ransom Road in Duryea, when "she saw some green flash of light coming from the tree line."
The witness returned to Ransom Road August 30, although "in a different area," and saw a green light up ahead while driving.
As she drove under the light, she states that the green light "expanded over the car or something and then it was gone." The light filled up the car's interior.
"Like a quick strobe light, of green all through the car. It was like it came from straight above us."
Duryea is a borough near Pittston in Luzerne County, PA, nine miles south of Scranton, population 4,634.

Hi, my name is Erica and I'm not sure exactly how to go about this, but here goes. Last week my girlfriend told me a story about how a few days before she was driving down Ransom RD. Duryea Pa. and she saw some green flash of light coming from the tree line.
So she had me look it up because she believed it was some UFO or something because she said she could see the source of the light one second and then it was just gone. After I looked it up I came across a bunch of things about the "green flash" that comes from the sun at sun up/down. Until last night I thought that's what it had to be.
Well last night we were driving through Ransom again(not in the same section) and in the complete darkness like right in front of us there was a green little bit of light, like a lazor pointer, and then we drove under it and it was like I don't even know how to explain it, it was almost like it expanded over the car or something and then it was gone.
Like a quick strobe light, of green all through the car. It was like it came from straight above us.
I figured i should let someone know about it, it's the 2nd time it's happened. thanks for your time and sorry if this is just me being dumb.

Had the same thing happen to me about 30 years ago. Lime-green glowing light filled the interior of the car as we were driving...just for a few seconds, or so it seemed like. I've thought about that occurrence many times. Interesting that it would happen to others as well.
I had my car fill with a whitish light on a remote road while delivering papers once. I was stopped and going to make a turn onto another road. It was kind of weird because I could not determine where the light was coming from. I first looked behind me to see what was there and then to both sides and finally up. It was a couple of seconds, at least long enough to say whoa this is weird and keep my foot on the brake until the light faded. It was kind of overcast. I believe it was March and just before this I braked kind of hard to avoid a skunk. It was about a half hour before dawn. I had to come back through this area on the paper route when it was more daylight and saw nothing unusual.

I think the light would have been purple if it had resulted from smoking the ganja.
I went to school in Kutztown University, Pennsylvania and during my senior year (2007-2008) I experienced a green light shining through my window in the middle of the night. I often times wake up in the middle of the night but this time it's as if I knew the light was there before I woke up. I woke up my fiance who was sleeping next to me and I asked if he saw the light. He said he did but when I asked him the next day, he said he couldn't remember. I didn't get up to look out the window because I fell asleep almost instantly after realizing there was a green light outside. I asked my roommates several days later and they said they hadn't seen anything.
7-08-2011, saw bright, blinding,green laser/strobe type lights while fishing at nite at New River Inlet, N.C thought it might be a helicopter from Lejeune military base. But as I got closer it was not...lights came overhead no noise of a chopper ,just dead quite.Too wierd got out of there and put some distance from it...moments later lights vanished
