A Texas witness reports watching "an illuminated object in the sky hovering over a location in the distance for approximately 23 minutes" that seemed circular and then cigar-shaped as the illumination changed on April 6, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
"There was no sound and at first I thought it was a star or planet until I noticed the short movements and the lumination changing from circular to cigar shaped," the witness stated. "I wasn't scared, just fascinated. I snapped a couple shots them went into the house to call a sister nearby...when I went back out it was gone."
One image was provided with the MUFON report, which was filed on April 6, 2011. No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the report.

Texas is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a high number of UFO sightings nationally. Texas had 39 UFO reports in March 2011 - the second highest reporting state - while California had 45 sightings, the highest reporting state in the nation.

I was standing on my back porch and I observed an illuminated object in the sky hovering over a location in the distance for apprx 23 minutes...for a very short moment it moved north a little then south a little. It seemed a circular object at first but would take on a more cigar shape form as the lumination of it changed.
There was no sound and at first I thought it was a star or planet until I noticed the short movements and the lumination changing from circular to cigar shaped. I wasn't scared just fascinated. I snapped a couple shots them went into the house to call a sister nearby...when I went back out it was gone.
