A Pennsylvania witness reports seeing a "flash of green light" in the bedroom followed by an hour and-a-half of missing time after observing a cylinder-shaped object in the sky during the early morning hours of September 2, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The witness thought the object in the sky might be a star, but noted that "it looked something like a cigar or cylinder shape." The time was 4:30 a.m. and the witness went inside and laid down in bed.
Very shortly the witness reports both a flash of green light and a voice speaking in a language not understood.
"Shadowy" figures were then seen in the bedroom.
"I couldn't move, I felt my dog up against me, but she never moved or barked," the witness stated. "I tried very hard to move my arms and feet, but it was like having sleep paralysis, but I knew I was wide awake. I definitely felt, and caught glimpses of the presence of small shadowy figures in the bedroom."
The witness then reports that they did not feel as though they were in their bedroom any longer. The next recall is that they were back in their bedroom and the time was 6:04 a.m.
This is the seventh similar experience that this witness recalls.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man made. If Pennsylvania MUFON State Director John Ventre investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.
PA, September 2, 2010 - I was walking my dog, saw a strange light in the sky, went back inside the house, went to bed. MUFON Case # 25266.
I took my dog out at about 4:30 am, and saw a strange light in the sky, I thought it might just be a star, though it looked something like a cigar or cylinder shape? Anyway, I was tried, so I went back to bed, just laid down, that's when I saw a flash of green light, and a voice that spoke in some strange language that I never heard before?
I couldn't move, I felt my dog up against me, but she never moved or barked? I tried very hard to move my arms and feet, but it was like having sleep paralysis, but I knew I was wide awake!? I definitely felt, and caught climpses of the presence of small shadowy figures in the bedroom?
I knew I was trying to push them away from my face? I didn't feel as though I was in my bedroom anymore? The next thing I knew it was 6:04 when I woke up? I knew what happened wasn't a dream, because a little over an hour and 1/2 had passed since I saw the light in the sky, and I had just laid back down in my bed, and then it was 6:04?
This is the 7th time in my life that something like this has happened to me that I know of, there may be other times that I don't remember? It felt so very real, and the strange thing was, I didn't feel afraid?
I don't know what the green light said to me in the strange language, though I think now I may have heard it before, hut I wasn't afraid of it somehow? It all felt so familiar, yet I can't remember what exactly just happened to me? i feel as though I have went through this many many times before? Dirk Hartman.

Short of the object in the sky that could easily have been identified incorrectly, there is nothing about this person's experience that differentiates it from an episode of common sleep paralysis. I should know - I experience it frequently.
If I get up an hour or two before the alarm goes off and immediately fall back to sleep the time until the alarm DOES go off always seems to pass very quickly.
I have experience missing time in Pennsylvania myself, although nothing this dramatic, but this story raised an eyebrow and got me thinking about it. My experience happened in 2002 when I was driving up the highway which is very long and has no lights or anything, and since it was late at night, just truckers. I was driving my kids home, there was an 18 wheeler on my left (I was in the slow lane) and another right in front of me. I remember passing a sign that I always see on the way home, noting that I had about 20 minutes before the next exit and then suddenly I was way passed my exit, and the 2 trucks were gone.. I panicked of course, thinking how could I drive for about 30 minutes without knowing it, and where were those trucks... I freaked out because it took me a few minutes to realize where I was, and with the kids in the car, I was pretty scared... I've thought about that drive for years and never made any sense of it, because I was wide awake, and there's no way I could have fallen asleep for a half hour. I didn't take note of the time though, all I know is that I was 30 minutes or so past the first sign I noticed...
