A Missouri witness reported a cigar-shaped object the size of "two or three 747s" moving in and out of clouds on September 1, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The object then suddenly moved backwards, "shot forward very very fast, then 90 degrees to the right, and 90 degrees forward again, and disappeared."
The witness says the object was moving "many times faster than a jet fighter."
No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the MUFON report. No images or video were provided.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or man made. If Missouri MUFON State Director Debbie Ziegelmeyer investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

Phone interview taken by Margie Kay in the words of the witness:
I was walking from my car to a restaurant when something in the sky caught my eye. It was moving very slowly just below the clouds and sometimes would go into the clouds, then come out again in and up and down and straight pattern, then it moved backward slightly and I realized it was not a plane. I saw no wings or tail, but it looked like a cigar shaped silver thing. Very large, like the size of two or three 747's. All of a sudden, after it moved backwards, it shot forward very very fast, then 90 degrees to the right, and 90 degrees forward again and dissapeared. I'd say it was going many times faster than a jet fighter. I've never seen anything like it. Other people must have seen it, too. Now I'm a believer in UFOs.

My Father and Grandparents told me about a cigar shaped object that they saw in the late 50's over North County San Diego. It was a huge neon orange cigar that looked like it was comprised of segments rather than being one solid object. As it sat motionless, they were listening to the radio when a report came on about a ship that was reporting the cigar being 1 mile off the Oceanside pier. My Father and his parents were in Vista and they said the object was almost directly over Phillips street where they lived at the time. That gives you an idea as to how big this thing was.
After 15 min or so, several small objects emerged from the cigar, also orange in color and moved around the cigar all over the sky. A few minutes later they all went back into the cigar one at a time. Then the cigar started moving up slowly and then disappeared like a light had been switched off. There was nothing in the paper the next day and it was as if this never happened. It turns out that the Father of one of my closest friends also witnessed this event from Valley Center, about 35 miles East of Vista when he was a child.

In centerview MO Around 3am on a summer night 2003 or 2004 can't pinpoint the year cuz I never gave it much thought till now I had trouble sleeping and out side my window I saw a cigar shaped craft The craft light up the sky in a way I have never seen easily the size of four 747s the craft was moving very very slow I watched it for the next 15 min. In that time it moved only 2,3 inches inthe sky from my vantage point. The ship was miles away but it's light lit up the sky like a full moon.
