An Arizona witness reported that "time stood still" after family members observed a group of "shimmering white-silver lights" that changed from a rectangular to star-like appearance about 7:45 a.m. on January 24, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The objects "stayed in one place and rapid movement of lights made it hard to get a fix on any more detail," the reporting witness stated. The observation "lasted about three minutes, was witnessed by four family members, and instantly disappeared as we viewed - just poof and it was gone."
The witness went outside about 10 minutes later and felt that the air was "electrically charged."
"The air seemed electrically charged, fresh and had a lightness about it. I noticed the clarity of landscape, colors and sounds of many birds seemed more vibrant and enhanced. This lasted about one minute or so, although the residual effect on me personally lasted throughout the day as far as feeling charged up. At first we felt a bit stunned by what we were seeing and we just viewed it in awe of how beautiful it looked as if time stood still - almost as if it was a normal occurrence. What we observed was clear and beautiful."
No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the report, which was filed on January 25, 2012. No images or videos were included with the report. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
Arizona is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a low number of UFO sightings nationally. Arizona had 8 report in December, the 21st highest reporting state - while California had 63 reports in December 2011 - the highest reporting state in the nation.

Our home is in the hills, homes have alot of acreage between them, my granddaughter noticed lights in sky through picture window in house over hills, not very high up in the sky, my daughter, grandson and I came to see what she was calling us for, we all observed rectangular/starlike objects which seemed detached from each other and connected at the same time, about 745am MT clear skies, very bright glowing white/silverish shimmering alternating appearance, rapid movement, stayed in one place and rapid movement of lights made it hard to get a fix on any more detail, lasted about 3 minutes, witnessed by 4 family members, instantly disappeared as we viewed, just poof and it was gone, I went outside about 10 minutes after disappearance and the air seemed electrically charged, fresh and had a lightness about it, noticed that clarity of landscape, colors and sounds of many birds seemed more vibrant and enhanced, lasted about one minute or so although the residual effect on me personally lasted throughout the day as far as feeling charged up, at first we felt a bit stunned by what we were seeing and we just viewed it in awe of how beautiful it looked as if time stood still, almost as if it was a normal occurence, what we observed was clear and beautiful, unprepared to video or take photo
