UK's Gary McKinnon, the self-admitted hacker of NASA ufo files, today was granted another delay in extradition to the U.S. The new Home Secretary Theresa May has agreed to take more time to consider McKinnon's case and has delayed a judicial review that was scheduled for next week.

Britain's new leaders, Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, had opposed McKinnon's extradition to the U.S. Clegg had even been seen holding a banner in protest during a public rally for McKinnon. According to the TimesOnline, "Last year David Cameron said that if Mr. McKinnon had questions to answer there was 'a clear argument to be made that he should answer them in a British court'."

In January 2009, David Cameron had also promised to be "open and frank" and release government files regarding UFOs. He was responding to a question about the demand by former U.S. astronaut Edgar Mitchell to end the government cover-up of UFO files. In reference to the possibility that there is extraterrestrial life, Cameron also stated that "...it is certainly not something that any government should seek to hide from anyone."

If extradited to the U.S., McKinnon could face up to 60 years imprisonment. His case has drawn support from a wide range of political figures including musicians such as Sting, former hostage Terry Waite, and others who also oppose the one-sided extradition laws.

The final decision about extradition will occur during the campaign for the Denver ballot initiative to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission. The issue will be decided by voters in the August 10 Denver election. The petition to place the issue on the ballot was signed by over 10,000 people. Voter education for the campaign will include testimony from some of the more than 500 whistle-blowers in the Disclosure Project.

Some of these whistle-blowers have personal knowledge of NASA's ongoing cover-up of UFO files. This can only further raise questions about the real agenda behind the U.S. Government's obsession to extradite McKinnon and if NASA has committed fraud against American taxpayers.
