The Honorable Paul Hellyer of Canada has again boldly proclaimed the urgent need for all governments to disclose files on UFOs and extraterrestrial beings visiting Earth. He commented on this and other pressing global issues in a May 7 videotaped interview with international photo-journalist Paola Harris. He also elaborates on these issues in his new book, "Light at the End of the Tunnel – A Survival Plan for the Human Species".

Mr. Hellyer was formerly the Minister of Defence for Canada. He was later Senior Minister in the Cabinet of Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, an office that is similar to what is now the office of Deputy Prime Minister. Hellyer has been a staunch opponent of the militarization of space, which he says has never been sanctioned by the public of any country.

Hellyer blamed the lack of UFO disclosure on a small group in the U.S. that has been trying to keep the UFO files secret in order to maintain their own power and monetary advantages. Other countries have already been releasing such files.

Hellyer repeated the claims of credible high-ranking U.S. military officers who had known of the Roswell, New Mexico UFO crash and the government cover-up. Now, as whistle-blowers, they have come forward to report that advanced technologies for clean energy and more were obtained from the extraterrestrial craft. These government insiders said the technologies were shared with private U.S. corporations, but not the public.

In his new book, and the May 7 interview, Hellyer added that the most urgent task for the world is to reform global banking and finance. He described the current banking system as "legalized fraud" that mostly benefits a hand full of the wealthiest families. Hellyer insisted that recent efforts to chastise the banking and finance industries have been nothing more than a meaningless slap on the wrist.

During the 35-minute interview, Mr. Hellyer was asked about the most important thing youths of the world can do to change the status quo in many areas. He advised that all such change "has to start with individuals...and must come from the bottom up, not the top down". He ended the interview by encouraging the youth to "leave the world in a little better place than they found it".
