Peter Facinelli was chosen as Rolling Stone's "Worst Vampire" by Peter Travers for his work as "Dr. Carlisle Cullen" in the Twilight Saga films.
"Facinelli is a solid actor, but playing Carlisle Cullen, the white-haired head of the fang-challenged Cullen vampire family, he looks about as terrifying as Project Runway winner Austin Scarlett, whom Carlisle closely resembles," the post states.
Peter Facinelli spoke out on Twitter about the win, joking "YES! I finally came in Number 1 in something!"
Facinelli went on to respond to the text of the article. "....Thank you Mr. Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst Vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at 'solid actor'. :) I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though ... He has way better cheek bones."

Speaking of humanitarian, Facinelli is heading to Monroe, Michigan (The Mall of Monroe) on September 12th at 5:00 p.m. to sign autographs and raise funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research.

Carlisle is an amazing family/coven leader! He plays the designed role to a "T". He exudes wisdom and compassion for humans! He's no blood sucking vampire, but none of the Cullen clan are... so do they all suck as vampires?? no freaking way! Twilight is the best, most tasteful vampire flick series out there, of all times! hello people?!

I agree technically the worst vampire since he doesn't drink human blood. But he is a very talented actor and very handsome! I think he does a great job playing the Cullens adoptive dad and leader of the coven. He doesn't drink human blood, but I would give him mine free of charge...lol He can BITE me anytime!! :P Love HIM!!!

The Cullens wanted to hide the fact that they are vamps, so Peter winning the "worst vampire" was quite a compliment. Means that he did it. haha. Love Twilight!
Peter plays the part perfectly. Obviously you haven't read the series of books and followed with the movies because no one could have played the part better.

I love him in this movie,i would hope that they read her book befor looking for ANYONE to put in the MOVIE if they did not get her aproval,then they would need a good lawyer and lots of money why would any one change that wonderfull book.He is one of the frist Vampire that has been there and can tell them how they should live in this world with out any one knowing who they really are...lol to all the pepole that had something to do with this GOOD MOVIE..ta~ta till next time my friends;;))
I think he is perfect for the role. I liked hime from the start with his white hair etc. I think he looks handsome with the white hair . He also plays his part very well. He is definetly my favourite person in twilight.
when watching a movie, it helps to listen to the lines. people caught on very quickly the Cullen clan respect humanity. in the scene in the garage, Carlisel says "I don't relish the thought killing another creature, even a sadist one like James." Peter performes he part to perfection as the caring Dr Cullen. the fact is,we enjoy paying our hard earned money to watch, what you call the 'worst vampire'.

Pesonnally, I think he's great! He does fit his roll. If Rolling Stone really should understand the whole saga, then they would know he isn't meant to be scarey. Actually in the movie the Cullen Family are as referred to"vegan" .
So let 's give him a better No.1 spot how about someone who shows compassion. Something very rare in movies.

Obviously this Peter Travers didn't read Twilight, because if he had he would of realized that Peter Facinelli played the part as it was written, and played it perfectly I might add!!
if you read the books instead of just watching the movies you would understand he plays his character in the same humbleness that is in the book. He has changed the ways of his life to live better without hurting human. So with that said he can't be the worst vampire when his role in the book isn't to be this i'm going to rip your neck and drink your blood type. I think that if you read the book you can appreciate his performance as well as the performance of all the cast members and writers who have kept intact the most essential parts of the book to keep Stephanie Meyers vision when she wrote the twilight saga

I think he plays his part very well....thank you very much, as he says he plays a humanitarian role, what a way to control vampire insticts and to help his family to do the same. It's the whole good vs evil and he is GOOD. BTW the way he goes to these various autograph signings and picture taking events a very comendable too. Hats off to Peter Facinelli.

I had a chance to meet Mr. Facinelli in Monroe, MI. He is a nice man and very handsome in person I might add. As far as being the WORST vampire...it was his choice not to drink human blood; he didn't have a problem kicking some ass during the battle in Eclipse.

Peter plays the humanitarian vampire with the same sweet personality he has in reality. No one could have done this part as well as he did, and his status as the worst vampire is exactly what he was going for. Great Job Peter, I can't wait to see you holding true to your title in Breaking Dawn.
