'Breaking Dawn' - Hachette Books
Wyck Godfrey, in an interview with Collider.com's Steve Weintraub, finally put the filiming location issue with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to rest.
He explained that the filming locations for Breaking Dawn will be split between Louisiana and Vancouver and that the "great tax credits" Louisiana currently offers filmmakers are a part of the decision to shoot a portion of the film there.
So, chances are, the exterior sequences would have to be in Vancouver for continuity purposes (at least, those which have appeared in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), but other interior scenes and new exterior locations might be suited for Louisiana filming.
He also talked about the potential for Breaking Dawn to be filmed in 3-D, noting that the possibility is being discussed but that if it is to be chosen, it would be shot in 3-D and not converted.
Godfrey also explained that post-Breaking Dawn, fans could finally get an "ultra" DVD set with all five films put together into a five-disc set . . . at least, that's an option being thrown around with the studio.

So, where will Isle Esme be filmed?? ...
i'm all up for the ultra DVD set!!!!!!!
Looks like the "True Blood" vamps are about to have some company in the bayou swamps of Louisiana! They actually shoot in Los Angeles with just establishing shots on location. But "Twilight" has ALWAYS been filmed in the mysterious, rain-soaked, moss-covered Pacific Northwest (except for the LA-shot meadow in "Twilight" of course). In fact,Summit producers have cited the magnificent (and moody) Oregon and Vancouver locales as another character in the saga, right up there with Bella, Edward and Jacob.
Well...I guess they have their reasons - mostly $$-related as Amanda reports. And maybe it might just be TOO rainy and cold in the Northwest for the Nov. thru March "Breaking Dawn" double-movie shoot. And Louisiana definitely needs all the economic activity that it can get during these oil-soaked days.
As long as the cloud-banked,Douglas fir covered mountains and sea stack dotted coastline of British Columbia still make an appearance in "B.D." But PLEASE, no swamps or alligators!!
Road trip!!!
I hope they dont meess it up....
please no no no in 3-d........i hope i'm not the only one who feels like this.....motion sickness + 3-D = sick!
As long as the story and directing is good, I'm down for wherever the filming locations are. As far as a 5-movie set, I would totally buy it!!!
I'll drive to LA to see them! I live in Atlanta and never get a chance to see filming in Pacific NW or Vancouver. I'm stoked!
Please please no 3D that will ruin Breaking Dawn. Leave it as it is and just tell the story from the most awesome book that SM has wrote. Can not wait till it hits theaters. Producers, directors and screenplay writer please do the book justice and make BD the best movie of the saga.
Yes! They're filming in Louisiana?! I'm on my way!!
I can't believe it'll be so close to me. For once I might actually be able to go! And please God, don't make the movie 3D!
sounds like a road trip!!
How exciting! I hope they don't do it in 3D, please no!!! Let it be the best of all the movies. I love love love loved Eclipse!
I told my husband we'll have to drive over to LA from TX, scope out the sets and then hit the casinos on the way back. Road trip!
Also, really glad Summit will pump some $$ back into the LA economy and keep Americans working.
Hold the phone....filmed in Louisiana.....I LIVE THERE!!!!! Which way do I go!!!!!
