We fans of the Twilight Saga started out 2010 with a few things on our minds. We’d just seen New Moon smash up the theaters, and we’d been hearing a lot about production on Eclipse, particularly through David Slade’s faithful use of Twitter.
So what did we look forward to?
On January 1st, I did a post re-capping what I thought most fans were looking forward to from the year. Looking back, nine out of ten happened and indeed were a big deal.
Still, there was so much more to this year for us . . . Here’s a look back at some of the best moments of the year.
MOST MEMORABLE APPEARANCES:
- The Oscars: Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Anna Kendrick
- Robert Pattinson is actually bothered on Jimmy Fallon
- Taylor Lautner for Hope for Haiti
- Rob and Taylor and Les Grossman = awesomespice.

- Bree who?: A new Saga book sneaks up on us
- Surprise cast appearances at Eclipse screenings across the country

- Stephenie Meyer decides to hang out with fansites instead of the press
- Robert Pattinson becomes just a touch more accessible thanks to wax
WEIRDEST OF THE WEIRD:
- Robert Pattinson's head made of chocolate. Yep.
- A Robert Pattinson body pillow. Again, yep.
- That would be Alex Meraz in a dress
- Twilight used in road safety billboards . . . and why again?

GOOD NEWS:
- New Moon makes Guinness World Records
- Taylor Lautner turns a trailer fiasco into a major charity win
- Robert Pattinson gets chosen one of TIME's most influential, and Chris Weitz writes his article
- Anna Kendrick sticks up for Twilight fans
