During the press junket held for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse earlier this year, director David Slade dismissed any rumors that he was going to tackle The Shadow next, but he wasn't quite sure what his next project was going to be.
According to some sources, though, the prospects are becoming more defined, and Slade is currently one of two directors being seriously considered for Wolverine 2.
New York Magazine reports, "Both men have been approved by the studio's brass, and though Jackman will ultimately be the one to make the call after meeting with each next week, a well-placed source inside the production insists, 'It's going to be Slade.'"
In some ways, this move would make sense for David Slade.
Before taking on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, he'd already done an entire film about vampires (30 Days Of Night), and if he takes on Wolverine 2, he's got a fantasy/action film with CGI under his belt now to prepare for it.
It should be interesting to see whether this ends up panning out for David Slade.
