It's always nice to hear Twilight series castmembers stick up for the Saga's fans (who support them so - especially when it comes to their outside projects), and the latest actress to do so is Anna Kendrick ("Jessica Stanley" in the series).
According to the Wall Street Journal, "Kendrick bristled at the notion that 'Twilight' fans, or 'Twihards,' are a little overboard. 'People like to make fun of the fans who camp out but people have renaissance faires; people do Civil War reenactments; people do what they like,' Kendrick said. 'I’m tired of hearing people rag on the fans. If you don’t like ‘Twilight,’ don’t buy a ticket.'"
Amen, sister.
Anna Kendrick has been busy these last few weeks promoting her movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, and director Edgar Wright talked to Entertainment Weekly about the fact that Kendrick was cast long before she became a part of the Twilight phenomenon.
"Some of it is just luck, I guess . . .but also I feel like, in every part, I got the best person for the job. A lot of these people have been cast in it for a long time. Anna Kendrick did her first audition for it before she shot the first Twilight," he explained.
EW also revealed another interesting tidbit: that two of the contributors for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse's official motion picture soundtrack, Metric ("Eclipse (All Yours") and Beck (with Bat for Lashes, "Let's Get Lost"), have also added songs to Scott Pilgrim's OST.
According to Gigwise, Metric's song for the album is "Black Sheep," and lead singer Emily Haines (who Twilight fans have gotten to know quite well through her Eclipse OST-related press) said that being a part of these two albums has made "this year [full of] really amazing for moments."

i love twilight and i love how she acc talks about the fans and sticks up for them. Not alot of actors do tht :D
I totally agree and I am glad that she stuck up for us Twi-hards. If you don't like it, don't see it. I don't make fun of the Potter People or the Star Wars Weirdo's so why should we be made fun of????

I never really liked her before...but now i totally do. =] Shes awesome for sticking up for us and she makes a well educated point. So for the Twilight haters....TAKE THAT! and AMEN SISTER 100X efinity!

And You REALLY look beautiful! We have witnessed the whole cast grow up on these movies and you have come in to our own. I am tired of people bashing Kristen Stewart acting skills too, she is helping the Guys look Very Good. I LOVE the whole cast!
Amen sista is right! Not everybody likes Twilight, and that's OK because honestly it'd be a pretty boring world if we all did like the same things. I love Twilight, but have some friends that do not and that's cool. They do not make fun or me on rag on me for loving it. Now, my husband on the otherhand does give me a little grief for being in love with Rob Pattinson, but he'll get over it!!! LOL =)
I'm not gonna lie. I really don't like the attitude of her character but as an actress i think she's phenomenal. and Twilight is the only thing i've seen her in. but even through her acting as the pain in the ass character you can see that she is truly skilled at what she does. I give her props for having what it takes to stand up for what she believes in. Most people don't. Go Anna!
I love twilight cant wait for last book to become movie. I must say vampires suck is also good
I never would have figured I would be a Twilighter, but I am, I think it could have been written better, some of it sounded childish, but don't get me wrong I love the books, am waiting for the last book to go to DVD and then I will buy the set. Hard to wait though, really want to see if the actors match with what I see of them from the books. Silly huh, and I'm 62 so its not just for kids.

Thanks Joyce M. I totally agree. I am 54 and I loved the books and also think the writing could have been better but still love the story and the passion she described.
I am also 54 yrs old and LOVE the "Twight Series". I agree with "Terrib" that the writng could have been better but the story and the characters WONDERFUL!!!
Thank you, Anna, for your support. I am 58 and love Twilight. The same people that rag on TwiFans and the series will sit in front of mindless television shows or video games without thinking twice about it! But don't rag on the Rennies. A lot of the ones I know love Twilight. : D

Thanks Anna. You and the rest of the Twilight ensemble are what make the movies so addictive. I'm 60, and no, do not watch it for vicarious thrills. It's to admire and appreciate all the artistry that the actors, writers, musicians, costumers, makeup artists, and all the other 500 people have achieved in order to create a great form of entertainment for us. We love you all !
You heard her "Don't buy a ticket", haters! I'm 53, and my grand-daughters and I have truly bonded over the Twilight Saga. It's exciting to watch these young, talented actors achieve success and might I add, handle it graciously. I loved watching Dark Shadows when I was growing up. Edward Cullen reminds me of Quentin Collins! Keep up the good work Anna!

Thank all of you for making your comments. I get teased alot because I am 39 and absolutely love twilight!!! I think that twihards are like any other fan that really loves and appreciates something. I LOVE THE TWILIGHT BOOKS AND LOVE THE MOVIES. THE ACTORS AND ACTRESSES ARE ALL WONDERFUL(especially Taylor..my personal fave!) THANK YOU ANNA FOR STICKING UP FOR US FANS!!! I would just like to add...I am so glad you all get along so well!! It makes it hard for people to say bad things when you stick together like that!!!! I wish everyone else felt that way.So what if you don't like it I do.I'm 35yo after seeing Twilight and New Moon my daughter convinced me to read the books.Now I've read the whole saga twice.Even went with my daughter to the midnight showing of Eclipse.My fave book by the way.My husband thinks it's ridiculous how addicted I am. I absolutely can't wait for Breaking Dawn to come to theatres.
Some of us are forced to buy a ticket by girlfriends or whatever. :P But I get what she's saying, and she's a good actress.
