Mary Tyler Moore (20th Century Fox)
Fans of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" -- and that includes us --- have gotten used to loooooooooooooong waits between the release of DVD season sets of the wonderful CBS sitcom.
We're glad to say that, for a change, that's not the case. "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," Season 6 -- 24 episodes on three discs -- will be released by 20th Century Fox on Feb. 2, only four months after Season 5. Wonderful news. (You can see pictures from the show in the slideshow at the bottom.)
And the news gets better. Several of the episodes in Season 6 are standouts.
The list is topped by "Chuckles Bites the Dust." If there was a list of the top 5 episodes, this is one of them. Sadly, the writer of that episode, David Lloyd, passed away Nov. 12.
Other episodes include "Ted's Wedding," "Edie Gets Married," "Mary's Aunt" (and "Mary's Aunt Returns"), "Mary's Delinquent," "The Happy Homemaker Takes Lou Home" and "Murray Takes a Stand."
It'll be something to look forward to during the winter weather in February.
