In the final 2010 issue of "RunMinnesota," the magazine of the Minnesota Distance Running Association (MDRA), readers were asked to vote for their favorite road races from 2010.  In the Jan / Feb issues of RunMN, they announced the results.

1 MILE RACES:
The TC 1 Mile ran away as the favorite 1 mile, earning over half the votes.  The Rice Street Mile, Grandma's Marathon Mile, and the Meet of the Miles rounded out the top 4.

5K RACES:
I've heard good things about this race, and it shows by the results - the Brian Kraft Memorial 5K got about a third of the votes in this category.  The State Fair Milk Run was second, and there were 4 tied for third.

8K TO 10K RACES:
The spring time prevailed here.  The Human Race 8K and the Get in Gear 10K took the top 2 spots here, followed closely by the Victory 10K.

15K TO 20 MILE RACES:
This category was pretty spread out, with the winner (the TC 10 Mile) taking less than 20% of the votes.  The Lumberjack Days 10 Mile was second, and third was a tie between the Garry Bjorklund Half (as part of Grandma's Marathon), City of Lakes 25K, and the Monster Dash Half.

MARATHONS:
No big surprise here: the Twin Cities Marathon and Grandma's Marathon ran away with this category, earning 57% and 26% of the votes respectively.

ULTRA-MARATHONS:
There weren't too many voters in this section because there's a small (but still quite active) ultra community in Minnesota.  And really, you can ran more 5Ks in a year than ultras!  The Trail Mix took first, with the Afton Trail Run, FANS, and Surph the Murph tied for second.

TRAIL RACES:
Big Woods was first, the MDRA Mudball was second, and there was a tie for third between the Run for the Apples and Trail Mix.

OVERALL FAVORITE RACE:
Nearly 20% of the voters cast a vote in the direction of the Twin Cities Marathon, which was first in this category.  The TC 10 Mile was second, Grandma's Marathon was third, and the Get Lucky 7K was fourth.
