The 2011 season of the Tuesday Night Time Trials will bring something that TTers of years past will remember: a reversed route starting and ending at the Church.
What's staying the same in 2011:
- Race cost: $20 day of, $15 pre-reg, $50 1/2 series pass, $90 full-series pass. No extra online registration fee.
What's changed for 2011:
- Website: The website and registration is now hosted under the Twin Cities Spoke IC3 club domain. Click here for the TNT page.
- Registration: Registration is through the club website. There is no extra online registration fee.
- Race categories: There's a new "stock" category for those who race on non-TT bikes.
- Start location: The start is being moved back to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community (Co. Rd 24 & Brockston Ln in Wayzata). This is where it used to be, and where the turnaround was in 2010. Basically it's a reversed course from last year. This should make for better parking, spectating, general socializing, and safety.
- Course safety: They are adding race signs and course marshals at key intersections to provide additional visibility and safety to racers.
- Sponsors: They have some great sponsors lined up so far to provide support and prizes.
- Prizes: The prize list has been expanded, creating top-5 overall depth and both aero and stock categories.
- More prizes: Thanks to great support from some of their sponsors, IC3 has some great raffle prizes. Each paid race entry gets a raffle entry.
- Burger Night: They had luck with the end of the series cookout, so they are bringing it back more often. Look for three cookouts to offer you a chance to hang out, get to know other racers, eat free food, and just have a good time. Bring your family and friends.
