The information lists Debra Zane as the casting director, and Gary Ross as director. However, nothing has been finalized or confirmed by Lionsgate or Ross, himself.
Additionally, the casting call features some characters that do not even appear in the first book -- namely Finnick Odair, who makes his first appearance in book 2, Catching Fire. And at this point, Lionsgate is only making a film adaptation of The Hunger Games. Potential adaptations of Catching Fire and Mockingjay will likely depend heavily on the success of the first film.

I'm a seventeen year old actress in a small town in Canada. I've adored acting for ages and I looked into the auditions for this movie before I'd gotten around to reading the book. I've read the book since, and it has an excellent plot! I personally see myself as very similar to Katniss, if only I smile a bit more. I have been working with an agency to become represented, but something I found funny was a girl at my school told me that when she read The Hunger Games, she also invisioned me as Katniss Everdeen.

Kaya Scodelario for Katniss!! She is perfect for the part! And Alex Pettyfer for Peeta!!! They are the only ones who actually fit the parts of Katniss and Peeta! Look them up!!

I think that alex pettyfer is perfect for peeta!!! and i think that either kaya or jennifer(lawrence) is good for katniss. I think that this girl from youtube named Savannah Lewis is awesome for prim. As for gale, i dont really care... im team peeta!! rue will be a hard one to find though. But i hope they dont make her an african american, but i would settle for brown haired and tanned skined. Sorry that the message is sooooo long!!!
