Steve McQueen was the top box office star of the 1960s and early 1970s [i.e. 'The Magnificent Seven', 'The Great Escape', 'The Cincinnati Kid', 'The Sand Pebbles', 'Bullitt', 'The Getaway', 'Papillon', 'The Towering Inferno'], yet he was also well-known as a very competitive motorcycle/racecar/airplane/antique aficionado, not to mention his status as a fashion trailblazer. Steve McQueen was a cool, kind and respected individual who never forgot his roots, and his influence is still felt over 30 years after his untimely passing. 'Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel', written by Marshall Terrill, was likely the first definitive biography of an actor in Jeremy's possession when he was a teenager. His fascination with The King of Cool continues to this day. To get in touch with Jeremy with questions, comments, or writing opportunities, please email Jeremy here or follow on Twitter @jeremylr
