Sarah Palin is using Facebook and Twitter to call attention to her political hit list for the 2010 elections. Her tweets prompt followers to head to her Facebook page where there is a post titled, "Don’t Get Demoralized! Get Organized! Take Back the 20!" followed by a list of House members who voted in favor of 'Obamacare.'

Palin's list on Facebook includes 17 Democrats in Congress who her political action committee will work to defeat in the November elections:
Ann Kirkpatrick (Ariz.), Harry E. Mitchell (Ariz.), Gabrielle Giffords (Ariz.), John Salazar (Colo.), Betsy Markey (Colo.), Allen Boyd (Fla.), Suzanne M. Kosmas (Fla.), Baron P. On her Facebook page, Palin provides a map of the United States with a gun crosshair over each of the states of the Democrats that Palin is targeting on her list.

Palin's use of the words "reload", "aim" and "fire" conjures up violence in what is already being called a "hit list" post on Facebook.

Sarah Palin is making her voice heard and her voice is certainly being heard. However, is it necessary to make a post that sounds like she's going to be toting an AK-47 to all of her rallies?

After reading the two previous comment, I figure they must be Democrates. Sarah Palin is right on the money when she says that we should take back the 20. If the two people who commented actually read the article they would have realized that Sarah was referring to "Voting" the Dems out of office. By reloading the government that will vote for what the people want and not voting for what the President wants. I forget Palin's exact comment, but it was something about being able to see Russia from parts of Alaska, which is factually correct, even though its not entirely relevant to the question she was responding to.

Which rights are being taken away from you, now? What do you think the Bush-administrations 'Patriot act' did to the rights of the people? I know you say you're independent, but clearly pro Republican, which is fine, but get your facts straight, especially if you claim to be an independent thinker.
You say you only trust in God, thus you're not an independent thinker, and you do in fact follow the rest of the sheep (somehow even by definition). As an independent thinker you should at least also trust in yourself. Religion and political issues shouldn't mix (if in doubt, read the constitution again).
But I definitely agree that anything a politician says should be scrutinized, but that goes for all the medias and gospels as well. The contradictory mix of a healthy scepticism and tolerance is the backbone of any democracy.
Not everyone can get all that they want in a democracy. And I don't get how you believe this administration is taken away benefits and rights more or less than generally - giving the poor access to medical-care is definitely an addition of rights, and I don't get how that can aggravate people so much. Helping one's own population in such a basic way, ought to result in a sense of humanitarian accomplishment. Apparently there are not enough good people to make this happen through charity, so an elected government makes it so, with a majority (even slim, still a majority).

The insurance companies might get a little less rich, as you seem to be preoccupied with riches. I don't know which are the richest - the Dem's or the Rep's, but the fact is, that they are almost all rich, and supported by loads of money for campaigning. Because that's sadly what attracts and renders the voters attention and votes. Again you're right, more independent thinkers needed - I wish you were one. People elect, if they don't like it, then elect someone else, and think, don't fall for flashing ads, banners, slogans, religious beliefs, because that can hide all kinds of things. Elect them on their politics and words. And if they refuse to clarify or breaks promises, there's only one way - change. And a change of politics/politicians doesn't necessarily mean a change of party. With the limitations of only two parties (with a fair chance), the span of views within one party can be very wide.
The way people throw blame around on everyone else, and forgetting that they themselves are part of this, and to blame as well, is symptomatic of a growing egotism and lack of insight in democracy.
The feeling of being better off without a government, is only like peeing in the pants on a cold day, although anarchy and self-governing might seem attractive, it quickly makes a country extremely vulnerable both from within and outside.

The Constitution does not say anything about keeping religion out of government, I challenge you to prove me wrong, show me exactly where it does. Since you have probably never read it you wont be able to. What it does say is this "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," in other words: the government shall not interfere with religion. Perhaps you should also look up the definition of fascism before you spout the drivel you heard from someone else, applying words incorrectly makes you seem ignorant. Muslims are the epitomey of bigots, their holy book calls for the death of those who do not believe as they do, you can not even see the contradictions in your own statements and beliefs because you refuse to look at them to closely.
I'm sorry K, but your post also has a remarkable number of errors. You are right about what exactly the First Amendment says, but the Supreme Court itself has been quoted as upholding the interpretation that this erects a separation of church and state. Consider the court case Everson v. Board of Education. It’s a two-way street- it has been declared in a court of law that the government also may not espouse or financially support any religious institution.
Furthermore, the Quran states that the people of the Book are destined for heaven- that definition also includes the Hebrews and Christians. Muslims are not by nature a hateful lot. Allah himself declared that men and women are separate but equal, and that there are certain frontiers between people of different cultures, which, violated, will result in wars. Can you honestly say that Christians and other groups have not proven this idea themselves? Consider the fact that most of the ethnic groups who were present in the New World upon the arrival of the Europeans are now extinct.
I challenge you to prove that, given the way our political system has treated people of certain races and religious backgrounds, the United States has not occasionally crossed the boundary between democracy and fascism. Ever seen the movie Crash (2004/2005)? What do you think of the way that we treated the Japanese during World War Two? Fascist societies are not necessarily equally violent to all groups.

Well, Kevin, I just can see nothing positive with highly regarding anyone (much less a political figure) who possesses enough influence over other people to spew hatred. By the way, I am looking at my "hip pocket" copy of the constitution at this very moment and I will not dispute that does not specifically state that religion is to be kept out of government. However, I find it shocking that you appear not to observe the obvious intent of the founders to maintain a "separation of church and state." Now, K, if you actually research each and any religion or reasonable complete religious text you will find they all include some amount of bigotry. I respect anyone to practice any religion they choose as long as it is in a responsible way. As far as political opinions go, I feel the same way. But, honestly, I am ignorant as to how anyone could believe the language sarah palin has consistently chosen to employ is in any way responsible. Admittedly, I am overall a democrat but I happen to find sincere value in opinions that are different than mine due to the humbling fact that even I should make a habit of reevaluating my position when new information if presented to me. But when I hear people such as sarah palin, glenn beck, rush limbaugh, etc. promote such hate and rhetoric for nothing more than the PERSONAL gain they receive it is quite discouraging
Not only for society but specifically for the republican party if/when it is overshadowed and associated with the promotion of such negative and intense hatred of anyone who happens to disagree with you. Whether we like it or not we are all on this ridiculously overcrowded planet with one another, which means for the benefit of all we must work together. Those public figures furthering hate and encouraging ANYTHING above civil disobedience should not be highly regarded but skeptically analyzed as to the personal benefits they are attempting to gain.
Lastly, I think we all know sarah palin is setting the stage to run for pres in 2012. Of course she is not going to say that at this point, which is how many politicians (dem+rep) would approach the situation. However, the little deal she has worked out with fox news which allows her to freely spew her opinion on anything political yet conveniently restricts her from speaking with any news network that opposes her speaks volumes.
