It became a two-crest race but in the end Blackhills FC edged Washington Premier FC 42-35% to claim the mantle of "Best Youth Soccer Club Crest" in the state of Washington. The stylish black, yellow and red crest was designed by Werner Ide of www.widedesignteam.com. 4,321 votes were cast in the poll (see final results below)
Blackhills FC will receive $250 worth of soccer gear from www.SoccerPro.com.
The poll ran for two weeks and was introduced in this article that featured six finalists. In that story we asked a design pro for his take on all the logos, including Blackhills FC's:
"This is my favorite of the six. The bold contrast of the mountains and soccer ball set against the strong colors really make it a powerful design. It's clean, modern, and has just enough detail to make it interesting, but not distracting. The thick outlines and overall crest / badge shape also frames everything really well - very nice work." ---Kristian Themstrup, Seattle Logo Design
Congratulations to all the finalists! Let's see even more quality crests out there and representing our clubs in 2010!
