The U.S. government has seized some online streaming sites, most notably channelsurfing.net and atdhe.net. These sites stream broadcast of sports games and other television. Channelsurfing.net broadcasted live for free shows on main TV networks, including NBC, ABC, FOX, and others while atdhe.net focused on just sports.
The first seizure was a Spanish sports streaming site, Rojadirecta. Their U.S. domains were seized but they continue to operate through non-U.S. domains. The controversial seizure was reported by torrentfreak.com.
Torrentfreak then went on to list other seized domains. “Update: The owner of Channelsurfing.net informed us that his site was seized as well. Channelsurfing embedded videos from other sites and never hosted any copyrighted material on its servers.
Update: Atdhe.net has been seized as well, another sports related site.
Update: firstrow.net has been seized, yet another sports related site.
Update: ilemi.com has been seized, yet another sports related site.”
Channelsurfing.net posted through twitter confirming the seizure as well, saying "www.channelsurfing.net was siezed today." then continued by posting that they were up on a non-U.S. domain.
News of the seizures spread across the web primarily in forum posts by users who were trying to figure out why the sites weren’t working.

The people who initiated the complaint were not American Sports Leagues, but the broadcasting of UFC events. It's not "Obamanation's" fault, rather its private interests (Like the UFC, who makes a ridiculous profit on PPVs) that lobby to get these Acts passed to benefit themselves. Agreed. I bought 2 years of NHL gamecenter live (over $320 total) and managed to see only half of the games of my favorite team (all the others were blacked out). I live 1300 miles away, so why the heck am I blacked-out?, because I don't own a TV (so cannot watch NBC and Versus)? It's crap.
Thanks to channelsurfing I am able to see the games that my mind-controlled TV-addicted neighbors get to enjoy for free.
Also, www.rojadirecta.es is another site to get US sports, including tonight's Laker game. It's US domains were also seized, but it's native spanish .es domain is unaffected

The bigger issue here is that Rojadirecta's .org was the 70th most popular domain in the world. It was twice declared legal in Spanish courts and is registered as a Spanish company. The US should not be able to toss Spanish court rulings out the window and think that they rule the world.

Well this is a joke as the U.S. should worry about more stuff than some people watching tv online....first off Channelsurfing only had embed coded on their site and it was other people from around the world broadcasting or streaming through their pc and then putin up stream on sites like JustinTv..
