Glenn Beck slams Tides Foundation, George Soros over boycott threat
On his radio show on Friday, October 22, Glenn Beck slammed the Tides Foundation call for a boycott of his sponsors.
"This is nothing but intimidation," Beck told listeners. "It is all connected with George Soros. When will people in the media wake up?"
Beck was referring the San Francisco-based Tides Foundation calling for a boycott of his advertisers. Tides founder Drummond Pike wrote in a suggested letter to advertisers, "The next 'assassin' may succeed, and if so, there will be blood on many hands. The choice is yours. Please join my call to do the right thing in this regard and put Fox News at arm's length from your company by halting your advertising with them."
Drummond was referring to the Byron Williams case. Williams told the Examiner.com that he planned to kill 11 people at the Tides Foundation to avenge the deaths of the 11 men killed in the BP Horizon oil rig explosion.
