Sexy Films: CineKink film festival tour comes to L.A. this weekend, Oct. 8-10

CIneKink, the annual NYC film festival celebrating sexuality and kink, has grown into a touring show and makes its way to Los Angeles this weekend, October 8-10.

CineKink LA kicks off tonight at 8pm at the Echo Park Film Center with a screening of Waxie Moon, a profile of "boylesque" performer Waxie Moon, followed by a selection of work by LA-based filmmakers previously featured at CineKink.

The fest gets kinkier tomorrow at 2pm with a sampler of indie porn at the Downtown Independent, including Behind the Red Door, Frisk Me, and Seven Minutes in Heaven: Coming Out (all from Good Vibrations' new Good Releasing production company and its HeartCore and Reel Queel Films lines) and Tristan Taormino's Rough Sex (Taormino won Trailblazer of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's 5th annual Feminist Porn Awards).

At 4pm tomorrow CineKink LA continues with "Yes, Mistress," a program of BDSM-themed shorts including The Pawn Layman, Anti-Samaritan Hotline (winner of a Special Festival Award for Creative Vision at CineKink NYC 2010), Trampling MX Bear, Girls Rock, Taxi: Domme, Service, Housekeeper, and Libidoland (winner of this year's Special Festival Award for Viral Achievement).

At 6pm, catch 2010 CineKink NYC Audience Choice: Narrative Feature winner S&M Judge (Erik Lamen's Dutch language film, first released as SM Rechter in Europe in March 2009, won the Narrative Feature Award. The film stars Gene Bervoets and Veerle Dobbelaere, and retells the true story of a Belgian judge who hesitantly fulfills his wife's masochistic desires and ends up making sensational headlines when his involvement in the city's underground S&M sex scene comes to light during a police sting in 1997).

S&M Judge (see trailer at left) will be followed at 8pm by a Best of CineKink 2010 program featuring the award-winning shorts The Pinky Song (Best Music Video), The Sheep and the Ranch Hand (Honorable Best Mention), Balloons (Best Documentary Short), Handcuffs (Best Experimental Short), Hungry for Love (Honorable Best Mention), Coverage (Honorable Best Mention), and Walking the Dog (Best Narrative Short), with a roof garden after-party at the Downtown Independent.

CineKink LA moves back to the Echo Park Film Center on Sunday at 7:30pm for screenings of 2010 CineKink NYC Audience Choice: Best Documentary Feature winner My Sexuality: A Sensory Experience and Special Festival Award for Creative Vision winner Modern Love is Automatic.
