Many of the acts that folks were excited to see were groups like the Decembrists. In the late 1960’s, the Sports Car Club of America invented the “Trans Am” racing series. The “TransAm” series featured V8 powered American pony cars (such as Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, Dodge Dart, Mercury Cougar, etc) competing on sports car road courses throughout the United States and Canada.
