Bill Walton grew up the son of a sailor and boat builder on the New Jersey shore and then became a lake sailor in Wisconsin. He had his first boat at age eight, and has sailed and raced over thirty one-design class boats, PHRF boats, and sailboards. He has also taught sailing and windsurfing to hundreds over his years in the sport. Having lived near Houston for over thirty years, today he splits time between working as a program manager, as a writer/editor, and of course jumping at every opportunity to sail the lakes and bays of Texas. Bill's wife Deneen and son John enjoy the sport as well. Bill can be reached directly at sailsportsexaminer@comcast.net.
