Charlotte Casiraghi, niece of HSH Prince Albert of Monaco, has started an environmentally focused magazine that centers on art and fashion. The magazine called Open Ever was given out free during Milan and Paris fashion weeks. The daughter of Princess Caroline stated at the press conference that “It’s more like a communications think tank. We put together experts, artists and designers to focus on this idea of sustainability and the ability to transform how we live.” There is not a publication schedule for the new magazine, Charlotte stated that “We want to publish when we have something to say or have people to support. It will be short and meaningful so that people will read it.”
Casiraghi was inspired to the project through Stella McCartney. The daughter of Sir Paul is widely known for her eco-friendly fashion work. The duo met through Charlotte's work at Above magazine, for which Stella also worked as a contributing editor. In addition, the 23-year-old previously completed an internship for The Independent. Stella taught the young royal how her trend setting style was affecting the environment. “It’s only recently that I’ve questioned the way that I’ve been consuming,” said Charlotte, “I haven’t been as conscious as I should have been.” I’m sure her environmentalist uncle, Prince Albert II, is very proud.
