If you have been thinking about going skiing, now is the time! Squaw Valley USA has received over seven feet of snow in the recent winter storms with more snow falling. There is something romantic about a ski weekend with lots of snow. Snuggling in front of the warm fire with your sweetheart and enjoying a cocktail, just whispers romance. But whether you have a special someone or not, this is an ideal time to get up to the mountains and enjoy skiing or snowboarding in fresh powder.

Squaw Valley is an ideal destination for skiing and snowboarding. The new snow brings the resort's season snowfall totals to 382" inches or over 32 feet. With a current base of 164", the resort expects to offer skiing well into spring. The snow is still falling with snow showers predicted to continue through Saturday and the possibility of an incredible, California "bluebird" day on Sunday, February 20.

Skiers and riders can take advantage of the resort's phenomenal conditions and terrain for $63 a day with a new 3-visit value pass - a total of $75 in savings. Available now for purchase at $189 for adults, the Squaw Legend 3-Pack will be valid February 26, 2011 through the end of the 2010-11 winter season, with no date restrictions. While the pass is reloadable in increments of 3 throughout the season for the same rate, the original purchase must be made on or before March 11, 2011.

Getting there: Squaw Valley is approximately a 5 hour drive from San Francisco depending on weather conditions and traffic. You can also fly into the Reno - Tahoe Airport, a short drive from Squaw Valley.
