Congratulations to the House Democrats, and their eight Republican abettors, on the passage of the Waxman-Markey cap and trade tax climate change legislation.
Today's victors are to be congratulated for demonstrating that by using dilatory tactics, such as posting the "final" version of a 1,200 page bill the night before the vote, issuing a 300 page amendment to the 1,200 page bill after 3:00 a.m., and allowing only five hours of debate, it is possible to pass a cap and trade tax plan. A plan that presidential candidate Obama said will cause electricity rates to "necessarily skyrocket" and will bankrupt anyone who builds a coal-powered plant. And show that it is possible to pass such a plan with a whopping seven vote margin - 219-212, with less than 4% of the favorable votes coming from the loyal opposition and more than 20% of the negative votes coming from the majority party.
It does make wonder what is hidden in all those pages that no Representative really had a chance to read, let alone study, that made the Democrats so determined to avoid a real honest to goodness debate.

The constitution, our freedom and our economy are being destroyed in a manner I never thought was possible. The frustrating part is it didn't need to be this way. We need time to develop the right future energy and we have plenty of resources to buy that time without killing an already fragile economy.

I will be at the impromptu march in front of Senator Nelson's (closed) office in Ft Meyers, Fl at noon today. The media has been alerted. We shall see what kind of coverage they give to this and other impromptu events today.
We can blame it partly on the biased media reporting (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc.) that has brainwashed the public. It's time we deprogram these people back to reality. The media is in the tank with this administration and has been all through the 18 months of the campaign.

Subjected to Obama's lies, manipulation, intimidation and bribes, the House passed Obama’s jobs killing, economy killing bill! Corruption and coercion have reached levels previously seen only in Marxist dictatorships like those of Cuba or Venezuela.
Obama’s Cap and trade is another giant step towards Marxism — and the corruption, poverty, enslavement, destruction and despair that Marxism entails.
Obama is working much faster than Hugo Chavez at destroying the economy and imposing Marxism. No wonder the Russians are gloating:

I am so very disappointed in Illinois Congressman Mark Kirk. There will be others to vote for when he decides to run for the house, senate or governor. He will never get my vote or a contribution again.

Interesting how the bailout bill passed thanks to 3 turncoat Republicans (1 more than needed) AND NOW the climate bill passes by 8 Republicrats (1 more than needed). The republicans and democrats are the same group of people just pretending to be different from each other - they have the same agenda. Wake up America!
