In the first part of the film, some Nazi doctors are attempting to make the perfect soldier, one that cannot be killed in action.
Flash forward a few years and platoons of Americans and Finnish soldiers are assigned to take the bunker out. Unfortunately, there are still some 'undead' soldiers around.
The film revolves around a few people, soldiers left from the Russian, American and Finnish platoons who have found their way to the underground bunker. The fight is on between a few haggard soldiers and some very strong, undead beasts.
If you are going to watch this film and expect zombies, you will be disappointed. These are not zombies as most of you know them. These are soldiers that are dead and have come back to life. Hmmm ... OK, they are zombie soldiers, they remember who and how to fight. They aren't shuffling around, they are fast and strong. They don't rot, their eyes do change and they generally have blood around their mouths. If they bite or scratch you, you will come back to life and your political views will have changed. These zombies will fight to save the bunker, regardless of their prior country of origin.
This isn't a bad film. I was disappointed at first. However, I was watching it waiting for a 'normal' zombie. If you go into this film knowing that these aren't the type of monsters you are used to, you will enjoy the film more.
The film has some flaws, but once you get over the different zombie thing, it's a good film.
