There's a reason why That's Amore is packed for dinner night after night -- it's that good. From the warm and friendly waiter to the manager who will come out and make sure that each table is nothing but completely satisfied, the people at That's Amore make it their duty to make sure that every single patron is happy.
Their Italian cuisine was blessed, as you might say, by an Italian couple I invited to dinner with me. I wanted to know, am I just an American blinded by the romantic atmosphere of Rome or is the food truly that good? Their verdict, it was excellent.
I began with a house salad which was large enough for two people to eat and then had one of their famous pasta dishes and glass (or two) of champagne. Absolutely delicious.
I could not stuff anything else in my mouth yet with a little persistence was convinced to try their millefoglie con crema e scaglie di cioccolato. Even my Italian guest who expected not to like it, had to admit it was beyond delicious.
The clientele of That's Amore is upscale casual and the prices are what you'd expect from a restaurant of their caliber. It is an intimately-sized restaurant and although nestled in a corner in the heart of Rome, worth the find.
Full Disclosure: That's Amore offered a complimentary meal in exchange for an honest and fair review.
