Reaper Bones review #57: Bailey Silverbell, Female Scout

Bailey Silverbell, Female Scout

It's one thing to make a non-bearded female dwarf warrior, but another to make a non-bearded female dwarf rogue. Bailey's name is a strong hint that she's not a hacker-style dwarf, and the weapons she wields add an additional clue: a crossbow in one hand and a short sword in the other. She wears a hooded cloak that conceals the crossbow -- Werner Klocke is surprisingly daring here in resisting the two-fisted fighter style of so many other miniatures.

And oh yeah, Silverbell actually doesn't have her bosom exposed, which makes her even more awesome. It seems only rogues have enough sense to keep their entire bodies covered. You can order this miniature at Noble Knight Games. And now, a little ditty inspired by Bailey's surname:

Silverbell! Silverbell!
It's thieving time in the city
Steal a ring, hear them scream
Soon it will be your pay day

City sidewalks busy sidewalks
Dressed in holiday style
In the air
There's a feeling
of richness
Children laughing
People passing
Meeting smile after smile
And on every street corner you'll hear

"Silverbell? Silverbell?!
Where is she this time in the city?
Stole my ring, she took wing...
And for that she must pay!"

Strings of street lights
Even stop lights
Blink a bright red and green
As Bailey rushes
home with her treasures

Hear the snow crunch
See the Watch bunch
This is Bailey's big score
And above all this bustle
You'll hear:

"Silverbell? Silverbell!
There's a big fine in the city
Ring-a-ling, hear them ring
Don't let her get away!"
