In 1923 Cecil B. DeMille buried the set of The Ten Commandments after the movie was done filming. Now archaeologist Alice Carter and her ex-hubby, along with Mark, find the ruins and during excavation release an angry Egyptian spirit.

Morena Baccarin (Alice Carter), Adam Baldwin (Jesse Carter), Victor Webster (Mark).

This one actually kicked off well with good character development and setup for what looked to be a decent plot. Unfortunately after about 30 minutes it started spinning its’ wheels in the sand and got stuck. After that the story really never went anywhere and instead turned into a few BOO moments, a few gore shots, a lame car chase, and some even more ridiculous action scenes. A mere 60 minutes later the film blissfully ended. How you can kill an Egyptian spirit with explosives however is beyond me.

Acting in this film was just sad all around. Baldwin, probably the most experienced main actor in the film, was ridiculous. His lines were awful and his delivery even worse. Webster was about the best, delivering in a somewhat bland and unenergetic manner.

Special effects were low budget at best with CGI shots being very obvious in several scenes. Car chases were ridiculous with the chase car stopping every once in a while apparently just so it could spin its wheels and throw dirt when it started moving again. Dialogue was decent at times but ridiculous at others. Sound was decent.

Overall this was a low budget shot at making a big budget film and in my opinion failed. If you are a die hard fan of this genre you might find some pleasure here otherwise, find something better.

No nudity, minor foul language, some gore shots and violence but for the most part anyone 10 yrs. old and above should be fine killing brain cells watching this one.
