Collateral Damage by Dale Brown and Jim DeFelice

Collateral Damage coauthored by Dale Brown and Jim DeFelice, is currently available at any Denver new bookstores, for you lovers of war thriller novels, also presumably some of its used ones. Fans of the two authors’ previous efforts in the Dreamland series may feel disappointed by the ending. One major character is removed from future episodes in this effort. As it goes with most series, some episodes are better than others. But this episode holds true to the established standard, and is estremely absorbing. Introductions and establishment of plot points, including red herrings, takes up nearly the first half of the book, after which the ordered house of cards collapses over the second half.

Dale Brown is the author of numerous New York Times bestsellers, including his 1987 work Flight of the Old Dog. His most recent bestseller was A Time for Patriots. A former captain in the U.S. Air Force and a current mission pilot in the Civil Air Patrol, he often flies his own plane in the skies over America.

Jim DeFelice is the author of Omar Bradley: General at War, the first in-depth critical biography of America’s last five-star general. He also writes a number of acclaimed military thrillers, including the Rogue Warrior series from Richard Marcinko, founder of SEAL Team 6, and the novels in the Dreamland series with Dale Brown.
