James Cooper has been cooking and eating fine food for over 30 years, and grows most of his vegetables during the Connecticut summer, and spends a great deal of time on Nantucket. He is the author of Cooking for Graduate Students and 15 technical books and the chief software architect for Lab Software Associates. He holds a Ph.D. in chemistry.
